Move over Barack Obama and Hillary Clinton: Alec Baldwin is ready to run for public office!
It's "something I might do one day!" the 30 Rock star says in an interview airing Sunday on CBS' 60 Minutes.
"There's other things I want to do," besides acting, adds Baldwin, 50. "There's no age limit on running for office, to a degree."
Baldwin also speaks out about calling his 12-year-old daughter Ireland "a thoughtless little pig" on her voicemail last year after becoming enraged when she skipped a planned phone call.
"You can pretty much bet all you own that I would never leave another voicemail message for my daughter that wasn't just like something out of a Rodgers and Hammerstein score," he says.

Alec is impressively politically savvy and extremely ardent about his beliefs... I believe he could do a lot with an elected office.
As for his temperament, I would prefer a passionate and educated individual with fresh ideas over 80% of our current elected officials any day of the week.
Obama would be wise to capitalize on Alec baldwin's tireless support of him.

No I wouldn't vote for Alec Baldwin. He is too much of a loose cannon and has too much of a temper. He also is a terrible parent, and so is Kim Basinger and should be embarassed at what they are both doing in public when they really should stop it and focus on their child. If he can't reign it in with that situation, then I don't think he would be able to do it as whatever public office he was thinking of running for, since that would be much much worse.

Um, as far as voting for Alec Baldwin whenever he decides to run for office someday,? maybe I'd vote for him!?, good luck with running for office some day, Alec, and I'm glad the whole Ireland-phone situation got straightened out, etc.
