david i love you no matter what!! and what are you talking about people who say syesha is better!! i mean she WAS GREAT but if she was better than david archuleta she woulda gotten to the top 2..and saying shes better than DC is even more rediculous..he WON!! but i wanted archuleta to win, david cook is still great too!! but...GOO DAVID ARCHULETAAAAAA!! Both David's are GREAT! Me personally likes David Archuleta the best. Yeah i was a lot upset when David Cook won but he kinda did deserved that. I mean David Archuleta was a little too young to win and David C. was old enough to handle as much as they offered. David A. though is NOT a little boy. Just because he's 17 doesnt mean he is a "little boy." He acts grown-up all the time. Because he missed a few words in the song is NOT that big of deal. I mean common' who wouldnt be nervous up there?! David Archuleta had my vote.<3333333333333333333333333

oh my gosh i started CRYING when i saw who won. David Cook is truley amazing but David Archuleta was oh my GOSH soooo totally wonderful! He really truley touched my heart with every song he sang. I was sure he was gonna win but i guess not. i cannot WAIT to hear his CD. I will listen to it every single second i have. Im obbsessed with DAVID ARCHULETA<33333 ! :]

I think we've only seen the tip of the iceberg of what David is capable of doing with music. I know that I will be first in line when his album comes out. And just because some may have favorites doesn't mean the other contestants aren't great as well. As for me, David Archuleta is my favorite, but I really love Syesha and David Cook as well!

Ok, so he has touched you...great! But come on people! Geez. This right her is why America shouldn't be allowed to vote on American Idol. David A. has a beautiful voice, I will give you that. But week after week, he has not done anything that has made me want to leap out of my seat or has made me sit in silence. He is predictable. Out of the top 3, origniality, maketablity, maturity and self-confidence...hands down goes to David Cook. Ask 10 people randomly walking down the street, whose album would they would buy. I can guarantee that the Mormons, Religious and elderly people would say David A. All of the rest...David Cook. American Idol has had a talented bunch this year, some shocking early departures and the ever so present stage Dad. Doesn't this show all of you that while all of the other contestants were focusing and picking their arrangements, little David had Daddy Dearest making those choices for him. Talk about Puppet and Puppet Master....Let's hope America gets it right this time or else we're in for another Taylor Hicks season....

9:35 you must be completely, totally deaf. David is amazing. He has a true gift that most can only dream of. All of the mentors on the show have commented as to his immense tatent. I cannot wait to buy his first CD. His voice gives me chills and I look forward to hearing him each and every week. His rendition of Love Me Tender was absolutely beautiful. I think David Cook is extremely talented also, he he doesn't touch my heart in the way that David Archuleta does. Best of luck to both David's, but David A., you're the best that show has ever seen.

David has touched so many hearts with his music. He is incredible and is EXACTLY what american idol needs. I hope he blows away the competition on Tuesday to put an end to these rumors and show that no matter what, he can go out there and perform his heart out. To me, that is the most admirable quality one can have when they sing. He IS destined for super stardom and these rumors are just a bump in the road that he will certainly overcome. LOS ANGELES According to American Idol spokesperson Andrea Jamison, the rumor about Jeff Archuleta, Idol contestant David Archuleta’s father, being banned from backstage and rehearsals is false.
“The rumor that surfaced yesterday on an entertainment Web site about Mr. Archuleta are categorically false,” said Ms. Jamison. “As part of normal procedures at American Idol, all family members of contestants and personal coaches are prohibited from participating in rehearsals during the final two weeks of the competition and the finale.”
According to online Web site TMZ, Jeff Archuleta was told this week by producers that he can no longer join his 17-year-old son David as he prepares for the show. The person was allegedly not authorized to comment publicly and spoke on the condition of anonymity.
However, Ms. Jamison stated that this was mischaracterized. “The ‘ban’, if you will, applies to all family members and others not directly affiliated with the show and 19 Entertainment. This did not single out Mr. Archuleta nor do producers have any problems with his conduct whatsoever.”
