American Idol's David Cook Hospitalized

Following his Tuesday night performance on American Idol, contestant David Cook was rushed to the hospital for heart palpitations and high blood pressure, according to TMZ.com.
He was released a few hours later.
The 25-year-old Missouri-born rocker — who suffers from high blood pressure and initially said he couldn't perform — still managed to belt out Dolly Parton's "Little Sparrow" on the show.
His entire family stood up during his performance, which was well-received by the judges. (Paula Abdul couldn't stop raving about Cook's new shorter haircut.)
Later in the show, Cook was notably absent when last year's champ Jordin Sparks pre-taped a duet with Chris Brown for the April 9 Idol Gives Back special. The rest of the Idol wannabes cheered from the bleachers.

David Cook is amazing he has a great sexy voice, and delivers really well. I think he should win because he does his best everythime and its always great i love him hes the best ever. he is my favorite AI contestant ever!!!! just because he looks and basically is a rocker doesnt mean he does drugs....thats such a horrible stereotype all you people that call him a druggie because of being a rocker re just arogant and hard headed.... David Cook is very predictable and has no star quality about him. He was my favorite until his performances were all alike and I knew I could count on him to butcher once decent songs. He puts his "special" touch on these songs and I feel sorry for him. He may be our first American Idol with Down's Syndrome on the down low. And for real, that Donald Trump style comb-over is really noticeable! David, cut that animal off your head and face the fact your balding!

David is a very talented and versatile artist. I want him to win american idol. His perfoamances are spellbounding none of the other idols have the maturity and talent to compete with his.
I hope he feels well, americanidol08 would lose its charm if decides to qiut. As for his taking drugs frankly it doesnot make sense cuz he puts a 100% in his every perfoamance and is for ever vigilant and changing and improvong his songs, and I can vouch been a med student that he couldn't do that if he was a drug addicit.

Heart Palpitations is not an uncommon condition and is aggravated by stress. People shouldn't be so quick to judge and assume he is on drugs. That is ridiculous.

I love, love, love, love him. David SHOULD win Idol. I ALWAYS look forward to his performance each week. He's such a breath of fresh air, and he's totally adorable. From the looks of tonights Idol, he looked like he was doing well. Thank goodness, because I would have stopped watching the show if he was gone. Don't get me wrong, some of the other contestants are good, but David Cook just HAS it (I felt the same with Chris Daughtry). I wish him nothing but luck.

I started out as a David A fan and still can appreciate his talent. But David C is much more talented and creative. He is entertaining, innovative and competitive. I can see him selling many albums maybe even go platinum. He can win this competition, however, even if he does not win he will do well maybe even as good or better than Doughtry. If you read his background, you'll see that he can do other types of music but why should he? The guy is very smart in picking songs that suit his voice.

David is a friend of a friend and from what I hear, a totally nice and respectable guy. For those of you speculating about the reason behind this, please refrain from starting rumors about someone who probably just has a medical condition. He was great on the show!

kay...not even to start an argument but, you know what i have kind of noticed about david A is he has a hard time with anything that has a faster tempo. i like him but, i have noticed he struggles a little with faster songs. i love david cook. he is so talented.
