Come On!!!! Babs is a legend. Like most stars who write bios dirty laundry is aired. As for star...GIRL!!! You seemed to have lost your class since losing your weight. You host shows that get cancelled, your take stints like house hunters and you really arent that talented or fun to watch. I enjoyed you on the view, you were happy, fun and very smart. You traded your brains and class when you lost the weght and became so full of yourself. Get back to the star we onced admired. Go back to being a lawyer.I dont mean to be mean but you arent STAR quality.

The war of the words is continuing between Barbara Walters and her former View co-host Star Jones.
"Poor woman, she's gone through so much," Walters said on Larry King Live Monday night (Watch here).
Walters was asked about Jones' comment to Usmagazine.com last week: "It is a sad day when an icon like Barbara Walters, in the sunset of her life, is reduced to publicly branding herself as an adulterer, humiliating an innocent family with accounts of her illicit affair and speaking negatively against me all for the sake of selling a book. It speaks to her true character."
Walters – who claims in her new memoir that Jones forced her to lie about her gastric bypass surgery on The View – responded: "I think [Star's] suffering now and that's why she's lashing out."
Walters insists she was a fan of Jones (who split from husband Al Reynolds in March).
"I was very fond of Star," she told King. "The network wanted to let her go. The ratings were going way down… It took her a long time to get a job.
"I wish her well," Walters added.
Tell Us: Do you think Barbara Walters is being sincere?

Barbara Walters: "I Didn't See" Star Jones' Statement
Rep: Barbara Walters "Will Not Dignify" Star Jones' CommentsCategories: Barbara Walters | Star Jones
I like the fact that everyone can now see the real Barbara! She is like everyone else - makes mistakes. People need to get over what Star has said - she makes mistakes too. No matter what, she should not have been treated so coldly by Bab's. I stopped watching the show years ago (and it was not due to Star). The View was not her first gig and it will not be her last!
I think Barbara Walters is a nice lady and she wishes Star well in whatever she does. I feel bad for Star Jones regarding what she is going through. However, she is bad mouthing Barbara which is not nice. She covered for you and stood up for you. Also, Star was open to everything about her life, I understood a need for privacy and respect that. But, she was always so open and I am glad she feels good about the medical procedure. It should have been stated from the beginning I am having gastric bypass surgery and could have stated this is a medical intervention that will save my life. Star has had enough humilation, but she needs to let the past go and not bring all the old dirty laundry. i feel Star should be happy and remember the good times that she had with Ms. Walters from 1997-2006.
I'm trying to figure out why we needed to know Star Jones had gastric bypass surgery. It was absolutely nobody's business.
Barbara has absolutely no class. She's such a hypocrite, talking about Star for going on and on about her wedding but Babs has been talking about that stupid book for months. Same difference. Keep your head up, Star! Babs will continue to make a fool of herself.
"sunset of her life" - CLASSIC! ZING!
Barbara was WRONG for discussing Star's medical procedure. Someone else's medical records and procedures are confidential and should not be discussed by another person. If she wants to discuss procedures she needs to discuss her own like the badly needed face lift she needs. Old bat!
STAR'S GLOW HAS DIMMED AND I AM GLAD SHE HAS BEEN SNUFFED.
I cannot stand Star Jones - what a joke! She is a hypocrite and she really has no talent. I like Barbara but I do think it was wrong to name the man she had the affair with. I also think the View needs to be pulled. I cannot stand Joy, Elizabeth or Barbara on the show. IT is repulsive.
Barbara is a nasty cow
Barbara is behaving badly, and from reading the comments below, most people see it. Is she sincere? No more than she is sorry about exposing the poor man she had an affair with.
Barbara Walters was Star employer and she knew HIPPA LAWS was in effect. for Barbara to bring it up now and add additional medical information is just wrong, wrong, wrong.
Star should sue Barbara Walters for breeching her privacy at her work place.
Babs is showing her true colours throughout this debacle!
I hate Barbara Walters. She needs to go away now.
I do not think Barbara is being sincere. WAY TO GO, BARBARA! Star Jones is bitter and humiliated. Star Jones is full of herself and has forgotten that she was and continues to be a nobody without Ms. Walters generosity and support.
The book is very entertaining. My personal oppinion... not that you asked... but the only reason Star is so upest is because she was proven to be a liar. That has to suck. I have never been a huge fan of barbara, but picked up the book in my mother's house and found it to be a speed reader. Barbara has had so many accomplishments. And it's not like she only trashed Star. She aired all of her OWN dirty laundry. Message to Star: Move on. If it upsets you that much, gracefully acknowledge it rather than act like a woman scorned. Barbara didn't put you in the place you are in. Babs - I love your book.

Well said!
No one would even know the name Star Jones if it weren't for Barbara Walters. It is Star who should apologize to Barbara for saying those rude things last week "Sunset of her life", eww. Star is a no class has been.
Barbara is and has always been a straight shooter. She calls 'em like she sees 'em, and has often been critized for her interview style, asking the hard hitting questions.
Barbara wrote a book, as have many many celebrities before her and many who will after her. If you are interested in it read it, if not then don't judge. As for the tour, duh, all authors go on tour with their books to promote them.
Barbara should have kept her mouth shut about Star & her affair.
I think Star made mistakes, and has had enough humilation to last a lifetime, let it go. I thought it was GREAT when she beat Barbara to the punch on her leaving the View. Personally I think that show is slanted and isn't worth watching.
I think Barbara Walters is not an icon, good grief, and I believe she's using this book to be malicious and repay those who embarrassed her or didn't bow to her wishes. Yeah, good example having an affair with a married man. (can you hear the sarcasm?)
As far as all those "interviews" she is known for? Remember how many are actors and they go thru the questions before shooting, get real. I'm with John Stossel - GIVE ME A BREAK!
2;06 I agree Barbara had no real reason to do that and I for one would have though this woman would be one of the few that chose not to publicize the fact she was a WH)RE! I mean Star not my fav by far (way better that Rosie though) but I still cannot understand Barbara's reasoning behind all this. Wasn't her life interesting and memoir worthy enough without her affair with a married man. Why couldn't she just go on pretending she had the class I had wrongly believed for so long she had! And why stir the pot about someone she fired well over 2-years ago and one going thru a divorce. I seriously doubt anyone FORCED Barbara to do anything she just... God what a disappointment she is.
If it wasn't for the fact that Barbara told Star personal business and that was her boss. I wouldn't even be on a side! However I still think she should take barbara to court! that was just wrong
Hell, Barbara's parenting skills and past behavior was no better than Britney's.
I think Barbara Walters is being cunningly salacious. She is using the sypathetic act to belittle Star Jones because she is basically angry that Star Jones responded to her statement. As for being forced to lie, I have never been forced to lie and if she CHOSE to keep Star's information about her surgery confidential---that is not a lie. I used to like Barbara, but sometimes we age and our minds start to not function so great. I think Barbara is being very evil and is verging on senility.
Star might be skinny now, but she still breaths like a fat lady. I can't stand that!

I voted for David Archuleta.
I really don't know what to say in this situation & feud between Barbara Walters & Star Jones, etc.?
It is an autobiography- it contains aspects from her personal and professional life. Starr was a regular on the View for 9 years or so- and her departure and her position on the show is a part of Barbara's life. Her weight loss and the situations that followed are not subject to privacy- being a lawyer and in the media Starr should be very well aware of that. Rather than resort to catty comments, Starr should've addressed her lies with more dignity- for example: Yes, I did not want to be the poster celebrity for GP surgery and to ensure my privacy in that matter I asked my co-workers to go along with my story. That would have been far more professional. Look back at Starr's comments over the years regarding Barbara and the View- all bitter and b**chy. As for the affair- the Senator was notified that it was to be included, if he really didn't want it aired he could've taken steps to prevent that. I watched parts of the interview last night and I thought Barbara was very respectful to Starr, regarding her recent childish comment, and professional. Its funny- when others write an autobiography and include controversial items they don't seem to recieve the same backlash as this. Mind you- there is FAR more to this book than covering Starr's lies and an affair. Maybe if people would stop harping over those two details they would see what a rich and fascinating life she has led.
Over the Hills Drama. Look who's stealing headlines from Lauren and Heidi!
They both seem starved for attention lately.
Barbara is to old for all this and she should retire.
Star Jones should stick to being a lawyer and move on.
