Brad Pitt Spends $50K on Art the Day Before Angelina Jolie's B-Day

 James Harris/Design Miami A day before Angelina Jolie's 33rd birthday, Brad Pitt dropped more than $50,000 on art in Switzerland. On Tuesday, Pitt was chauffeured in a BMW to Switzerland's Art Basel fair, where he spent more than two hours snapping up goodies. He bought two bronze chairs designed by Max Lamb (at $25,000 a pop!), a fair attendee tells Usmagazine.com. He also scored a foam and fiberglass "Family Lamp" (see left) and reportedly a $293,000 table. "He's really interested in architecture and design," the onlooker says of Pitt (who posed in photos with Ambra Medda, the director of Design Miami/Basel). Jolie said Pitt's passion for arts and architecture first attracted her to him. (Check out their most romantic moments here.) "I don’t see him as an actor," she recently told Vanity Fair. I have to laugh at all these comments from people who are trashing the magazine for writing the stories. Dont you know people like AJ have people who call the mags and give them the stories and get paid to do it? Do you believe US is the only magazine that runs these stories and have people like us commenting on them? Every one I read and go online to read have the same stories and the same comments.. I would love to have my home in a magazine, Quite frankly I have spent years working on it and furnishing it and my yard is almost like a park. I have raised three kids to adulthood and not one of them have had children out of wedlock or used drugs ot worn blood of a boyfriend/girlfriend around their neck. Not one of them has openly admitted to having sex in a car on the way to a funtion like AJ and BBT. have done. Not one of them have paraded their kids around town as if they are trophies. AJ is a very sick women who has never done one thing that the public has not heard about. If she were such a humanitariun she would be behind the scenes doing her charity work as other high profile women and men have done. She is a celebrity who needs to be on the covers maybe to make herself feel good about herself. otherwise she would go away and be private like hundreds of others have done before her.... The ones on the covers are looking to be on the covers.....they pay people to make sure they are.. I cant believe she has a fan base, but then again so does charles manson....

Noblesse oblige. Saving exotic brands of children, siring genetically superior offspring, and buying art. All for the sake of humanity. Tis noblesse. So much of branje's existence is wrapped up being sandwich boards for the films they promote and the clothes they wear, all while convincing me and my fellow proletarians to want to be them/buy them-all too successfully. Their desire for do-good behavior is perfectly understandable but smacks of guilt, not selflessness, and the risk at large in entertainers nursing pet agendas is turning genuine issues like poverty and homelessness into entertainment. But ain't no shame ladies do your thang. I would rather be comfortably, bitterly hopeful than face the ethical dilemma of achieving nouveau wealth in the public eye.
