Britney Spears and her boyfriend, Adnan Ghalib, were reunited on Wednesday afternoon, just hours after her release from UCLA Medical Center.
After meeting at the Beverly Hills Hotel, the couple drove to the law offices of Adam Streisand, the lawyer who, on Britney’s behalf, objected to Jamie Spears being named her co-conservator earlier this week. In court, Streisand had argued Britney wanted the Northern Bank Trust and Howard Grossman, her business manager, to act as conservators, and not her father because she allegedly did not trust him. Following his statement, the commissioner asked Streisand to leave the courtroom giving Jamie the power to remain a co-conservator.
Shortly after arriving at Streisand’s L.A. office, Britney and Ghalib left the building, managing to escape the large crowd of paparazzi who had spent the afternoon following them.
Britney’s first afternoon of freedom began around noon when a private security detail escorted the singer from the hospital, according to the Los Angeles Times, which first reported her release. She was then spotted driving around Los Angeles looking calm and carefree and wearing a short purple dress and plaid fedora.
UCLA Medical Center Media Liaison Mark Wheeler told Us that the hospital will "absolutely not" confirm or deny that Spears was released. Wheeler said the hospital has no plans to release a statement at this time due to patient confidentiality laws.
A law enforcement source told TMZ.com that UCLA released her "because she was no longer required to stay there after 11:30 AM" and that she was no longer deemed a threat to herself or others.
Spears was involuntarily committed to treatment for bipolar disorder on January 31 and was expected to remain hospitalized for another 10 days.

It's GRAMMAR, by the way! Spell check has relatively little to do with it. Have you ever heard of dissertations, thesis, oral defense? I doubt it; you probably didn't even achieve an undergraduate degree!
There is no hate involved; I am disgusted that people are so uneducated these days (in WV AND other states!). It's so pathetic, because people (you obviously included) think that English is not important!
I HAVE a job; thanks for assuming, though! I am a professor at WVU, and I donate my time to those less fortunate (adults and children) who haven't achieve literacy (check the rates in other states, by the way).
As you'll find in ALL states, jobs are VERY easy to come by when you have an education! Try achieving THAT!

I don't think having an opinion on a story that is being shoved down our collective throats from magazines (not just US Weekly, OK!, In Touch, or Life & Style, but from magazines like Rolling Stone, etc...), news programs (I've seen this story every time I've turned on what I had previously considered a legitimate news broadcast), not to mention all of the people who keep bringing her up on talk shows, etc... We're responding because we want everyone to know that we're not taking any pleasure or finding any entertainment value in the mental melt down of a seriously disturbed girl. Nor, in the light of Anna Nicole Smith's death and ensuing media circus that lasted for many months after her demise, will we sit back and wait for all of the sharks to feed on this story until there's nothing left but a dead former pop star. Believe me, I care about people in general and I'm very outspoken about things that I feel are wrong and about expressing my opinions with regard to people I feel are wrong. So, the only thing to do to try and send the message that all of these media outlets should leave this story alone (and by doing so, cut the proverbial cord with the paparrazi and the exploitative people in her life who act as "sources" for the information they reveal about Britney's life, regardless of it's validity) and let her family get her the help she desperately needs. Like her or not, she's sick, it's not an excuse, it's an explanation, and the response that a few of you have given indicates that you don't understand mental illness and you haven't witnessed it first hand in someone you care about. If empathy means I'm crazy, then so be it, but don't presume to think that America is the only nation and culture that is consumed with fame/celebrity and that is inundated with paparrazi. It's sadly a widespread occurrence.

Britney's father is still co-conservator and should have been notifed they were considering letting her go - there are laws and some were broken in letting her go without doing so -- she will have to go to court to regain her life and not too sure the judge is in any mood to play house with Britney anymore. Expect fireworks today and maybe ole Brit going back to the hospital or at least inhouse 'protective' care. Parents don't have the luxury of throwing up their hands and walking away, they will remain on her side and her side only, unlike her fickled fans and swarmy dark men.

she had no say on being released, the doctor did it and will probably catch trouble today for doing so. Check the streets, they are full of people let out too early from the psych ward. This was a stupid mistake and it won't be surprising if lots happens today to clear up the mistake. She is anything but ready to be 'on her own'. The doctor should be 'let go'. Her dad is still in charge!

I think its time for everyone to just give up on her. She is putting everyone through to much and it needs to stop. If she dont want the help, well then oh well its her own fault then when something bad happens cuz so many people tried to help her. We need to all just ignore her, quit paying so much attention to someone who is mentally ill and doesnt want help and move on with the other magnificent stars. Britney is putting her parents through sheer agony. Maybe it's time to let her lose all her money. Let that Bank and Grossman have the c.ship - and Britney is gonna realize really fast that she made a huge mistake to mistrust her parents like that. Let her lose the money. She's better off w/out it anyways. The hospital is just scared of law suits so they played it safe for themselves and released her. It really seems like Murphy's law is in full swing with that whole situation...everything is going wrong..the parents waited to long to do something..now the hospitale let her out w/out much if any improvement..pure insanity...let Lutfi do his thing with her... I'm starting to wonder if All of Britney's bad decisions have to do w her illness, or if that's just how she is..would her decisions even be much better if she were healthy..she is just so unreasonable...

Thanks for letting me know..I don't not go to those sites, because I don't support the pap period. I don't agree with her dating Adnan, but I don't pay her bills, nor could I afford to, so with that being no one has the right to tell her who to see. With the exeption of Sam.
