Yes! I am a sinner too! But I will not argue with God about it! I call it what it is,sin! I'm bi.. and I just want to say to the critics that are against gay marraiges.. you all need to grow up. There's nothing wrong with marrying the same sex. If I hadn't met my husband I'd probably be married to a woman right now.. children or no children. It's everyone's right to choose how they live their lives and who they want in their lives. wether or not it's acceptable to society cause you know what it's not up to society to chose how a person should live their life. SO this is my Congratulations Ellen, even though I've rarely seen any of your shows. I am giving you my prayers for a happy marraige. I think you deserve to married to whom ever you choose.

God loves everyone but not our sins. God will not force you to go to hell or heaven, everyone will make this decision by their will. It is not for man to judge, judgement belongs to God. It is difficult to accept that no sinner will see GOd but that is the truth which the bible says. That is why Jesus came to die for us all- We are all sinners, no one is righteousness. For all christians, stop deceiving the world! God loves us but not our sins. Tell them the truth, do not make sin look okay, it is not! it leads to hell. God loves us that is why he sent Jesus, if you don't accept Jesus, you have rejected the love of God and his provision for way put of sin. Homosexuality is a sin, either we accept it or not, the standard of God stands sure. Sinnres will perish, but if you surrender to Jesus he can help you overcome all sins. Jesus loves homosexuals, he however wants you to repent of your sin. It is not too late to surrender to Jesus, he can help you.

And to you, Tina: How dare you use the Lord and the Great State of Texas as shields to hide behind with your bigotry?! I am a God-fearing woman, a Sunday-school teacher and Shepherd Group Leader, and granddaughter to one of the most devout and influential ministers west of the Mississippi. Being Gay and Lesbian is a choice, yes i know and going to hell after all is also a choice. I advice you all gay and Lesbian, repent or you will like wise perish.Any little condemnation of evil, people say we are "judging". The reasons why the truth must be told are (1) So men can repent and (2) So on the day of judgement, no man shall say i was ignorant of the truth.

I believe everyone has a right to be happy with that one person, be it the opposite or same sex. I am extremely happy to hear that Ellen and Portia got married. I have actually wondered if they ever would because of how happy they always looked together.

@the procreate comment...here's a question, "why do we have condoms if we're supposed to procreate?" I was born and raised a catholic, and I'm still spiritual but honestly the way catholics and christians alike are so judgmental, arrogant, self-righteous, and quick to condemn goes against everything that was taught in the bible...in my eyes, that's real blasphemy because you're taking God's place when you have no right. When I hear people like that, I feel ashamed (not because I'm gay, which I am) because I don't want myself or my religion to be associated with such hatred, ignorance, and hypocrisy. But of course I have to remember, not everything done/said in the name of religion is legitimate or above sin...take the countless wars (including the crusades) that have been waged in the name of religion. I suppose that war is the one thing that is ubiquitous in religion, ironically enough. And here we have love. For God's sake, we have LOVE!! Love is the one thing that can stand up against war, it's antithesis. You can't truly believe that God would condemn love, can you? If you do, then you don't know your God. Congrats to both of them! Anyone who is up in arms about gay marriage, and thinks it an "abomination", do you stand by ALL straight marriages? Because if these two lovely ladies make it past a year (and I suspect they will), they have already exceeded most of the straight marriages in Hollywood. I think God would care more about the loyalty and faithfulness in a life-long gay marriage, than he would about a dozen half-hearted marriages among some straight people.

First I must say congratulations!! Second I am a Christian. The God that I know and love wants for two people to find companionship. In companionship comes love. I am a straight woman with an amazing boyfriend and two great kids. His brother is gay. That is not for me to condemn or praise. It is his life. He has also found a great companion, and is truly happy. All you bashers out there, get a life. If my daughter were to come home one day and tell me she was gay, I may have some adjusting to do, you are never really prepared to hear your child is gay, but I will accept that because I love my kids unconditionally. And as far as th direct bashing on Ellen and Portia, leave them alone. Im sure none of you know them personally which means they probably wont be in your life. If you do know them, then I a sure you dont mind if they are happy in love with one another. Everyone just needs to grow up and worry about yourselves before breaking down other people and their relationships.
