No I am not her biggest fan but i can't believe you people can sit her and scrutinise all the little things she does. Her life is no ones business and because she is famous she is put on the front of magazines and all sorts of things are written about her. don't tell her she should keep her mouth shut because she was in an interview and the question came up and she answered it. They only put people like her in magazines because thats what society pays for. And as for underage drinking... Its Champagne! its to celebrate. its not... ok...lets kick back and get smashed by drinking champagne. A lot of underage people drink wine at dinner time and if something good happens, alot of families celebrate by drinking champagne. One glass wont get you drunk and thats probaly all she has. Put your own life under the microscope before you critisise everyone elses. And one last thing... STOP BEING RACIST! America is no better then any other countries. it defintely has its fair share of problems. An ego problem is definitely one of them

So maybe she isn’t Gisele Bundchen or Kate Moss.
Hayden Panettiere is OK with that.
“I don’t have a model’s body,” the Heroes star, 18, admits in the April issue of Cosmopolitan. “But I’m not one of those crazy girls who thinks that they’re fat. I’m okay with what I have. I can rock this body, you know.”
What keeps her grounded? The actress (and whale rights enthusiast) says she skips out on clubbing.
“I think people look at me as just another one of those girls who’s going to screw up, like, ‘She’s going to get into drugs, and she’s going to get into parties,’” Panettiere says. “I have an occasional glass of champagne when I’m celebrating something, but generally, I don’t drink. I’m a pizza-and-a-movie girl.”
When it comes to choosing a mate, Panettiere (who’s currently dating co-star Milo Ventimiglia, 30) wants a man equally level-headed.
“I need somebody who is very secure,” she says. “In this business, I’m constantly standing next to gorgeous people.
“My job is to make out with [attractive] men. Like, hello, who wouldn’t be completely threatened by that?” she adds.“But, at the end of the day, you have to realize that it’s a job.”

If her parents serve it to her in their home she is allowed to have it, occasional sips of champagne is better than gugging vodka or whatever

I saw Hayden in New York this past November, was standing beside a friend of mine while she was talking to him, and can tell you that there isn't an ounce of fat on her face or figure.
It confuses me that our country considers you old enough to go to war and be killed at 18, yet you can't drink alcohol till your 21?? Makes no sense to me...
To all the people wanting to make alcohol illegal, when has making something illegal ever stopped people from doing it? Since when does banning something have the desired effect? Most people (in case you were all born yesterday) tend to do the exact thing they are told not to do, illegal or not.

Alcohol is a drug. It should be illegal PERIOD! It is worse than pot. People get drunk, drive and kill others, shoot, murder people when they are drunk. Alcohol is addictive! It should not only be illegal for minors but it should be illegal for EVERYONE!

5:38 lol, GOOD POINT! Yeah, you know all those crazy caffeine addicts! Running around the streets creating havoc! Pawning their TV's for their next "fix"! Starbucks regulars packin' 9 mm's, getting all high on caffeine and committing crimes.
5:26, caffenine doesn't make people swirve into oncoming traffic or kill innocent people while you are driving. It doesn't make people go koo koo and get in fights. I have seen a thousand bar fights, but I've never seen a brawl at the local Starbucks!
How many people "have one too many" cups of coffee and wake up the next morning having no recollection of what they did, or regret the night before? I don't know anyone that reacts to coffee like that!

There are REASONS to make alcohol illegal. There are not reasons to make caffenine illegal.
That's really a brilliant argument. No one has said that before. There is a great difference between the two.

Making alcohol illegal won't do anything. Look at prohibition, people ended up drinking anyhow and all we got out of that was the mob/maffia. Perhaps a safety feature of cars in the future could be to only allow the driver the ability to drive after the car tests his/her blood alcohol content. Have a breathalizer in the car that if you don't pass, you can't drive. I don't drink at all just because I don't like the taste of alcohol and I don't like being out of control, but I think people can drink responsibly. Like, if you're going to take a cab or public transportation, or you're going to do it in your own home, and always of course in moderation. But it's not going to work to outlaw/ban alcohol. Drugs are illegal and there's still easy access to them.

Yeah, she admits she breaks the law, and says so ever so casually. How wonderful. As for clubbing, she is also just out of high school.
omg, I live in Belgium and it's legal here to drink if you're 16. So your law sucks. And most young people can handle it just well!!!!
You're all retarded. And 21 is a ridiculous age for our law to state that we can drink. 18 is well old enough to make that decision. Hayden is a good example and I'm glad she's enjoying her life.

Just saying most teenagers drink underage, and having an occasional glass of champagne at 19 is not how the partiers get started. Also, just pointing out, the United States isn't the superpower of the world. Pretty much all countries have nuclear weapons, and with manpower, China can kick our asses, plus the Japanese are more advanced in technology than we are. What kind of super power has to borrow money from China to pay for a war and stimulus checks??

I've not been able to stand her for a while, either. I remember when she was just a dinky thing on "One Life To Live." One of Viki's grandkids, I think. I also remember she was the voice of Dot on "A Bug's Life."
I agree, she shouldn't be drinking champagne at 18--who is giving it to her? Sure, she can handle it now (she says), but that's how a lot of the "partiers" start. To me (and your opinions may differ), she seems like she wants to grow up too fast (she's with a 30-year old boyfriend). Whether it is at home or out on the town, whomever's giving her (or any underage person, for that matter) the drinks is/are irresponsible.
Of course, she is NOT the only underage drinker out there, and I realize that.

admitting to have an occasional glass of champagne is a good role model....she admits that she can drink but knows how to control herself and doesn't need to go crazy partying and clubbing. instead, she can actu maturely. underage drinkers don't have to give up alcohol, the lesson should be not to binge drink
