Heath Ledger's Brokeback Mountain To Be Turned Into an Opera

 Kimberley French/Focus Features Brokeback Mountain is coming to an opera house near you. The New York City Opera commissioned Charles Wuorinen to compose a show based on the 1997 short story — which was turned into the 2005 Oscar-winning movie starring Heath Ledger (who died in January) and Jake Gyllenhaal. How will Ennis (or should that be Glennis?) 'sing' all of the grunts, groans and moans as he 'does' it LIVE on-stage? More to the point, will the audience be issued with GAS masks to avoid the associated SMELL (YUK!!!) or will they just savor the 'aroma' (stench) and feel like they are part of the action while gripping their own partners hand (or other body parts) in eager anticipation.

Oh gross, now everyone will be subject to know what goes on, and NO ONE wants to see that. People already no what goes on between 2 men, and we DON'T need to see no live performance of it. Keep it in the bedroom, we don't need that garbage to be performed on stage.

absolutely i would go see it. i loved the movie and was and still am a huge heath ledger fan. and i miss him alot even though i neve got the chance to meet him, he was an amazing actor and had great talent. SO TO ANSWER THE QUESTION YES I WOULD AND WILL GO SEE IT! R.I.P. HEATH

Yes, an opera version of the movie, Brokeback Mountain, would be good, and I'd see it, even though I never really saw the movie, but I know what the movie is about, etc.
