It is funny how when someone dies all anyone thinks about is the finances. What about empathy for the loved ones left behind. How about show a little respect for the daughter that will grow up without a father. If you followed his life, anyone would know that he was a loving, kind, and wonderful person. I know that my family will miss him at the movies. His smile and chrisma that light up the screen!!

really, you cant be serious? heath ledger was one of the best up and coming actors in america and all you losers have to talk about is his role in a movie that you believe to be wrong. no one cares what you think and the ironic part is, that it clearly states in the bible that judging a fellow man is as equally sinfull as anything else, this means while Heath Ledger sits in heaven looking down on this pitiful world, you will be rotting away in hell.

i will simply note that the comment made below mentions the portrayal of a gay man -- "which is naturally known to be wrong"

know and wrong only offer an opinion so lets take a look at the other key word here 'naturally'... and that would of course pertain to nature.

in nature there are many examples of homosexuality within the animal kingdom... there are examples of cloning as well(dragons)... so the common argument that homosexuality is wrong from a natural standpoint is not only itself wrong but equally ignorant...

if you want to talk about religiousity or morals, fine... but please dont try to make an argument for homosexuality being an unnatural thing.

i may not particularly condone homosexuality -- but it is not my place to pass judgement. its funny how freedom works.... full of hipocrisy and irony.

so next time before you make stupid comments like 'lesson learned blah blah blah' - dont... just go back to church like a good little automaton and let them continue to do the thinking for you. and if at any time you think you may be having an original thought be sure to address it immediately with one of your peers so that it may be laid to rest in the most righteous manner... so that you can go back to being an autmaton...

I have waited and waited for someone like you to post that Heath's homosexual role in Brokeback marked him for tragedy due to his "acts". Let me say one thing I DID NOT watch Brokeback because I could not come to grips on my own perceptions of homosexuality and the rights and wrongs of it BUT I do have to say I am APPALLED that anyone would be so stupid as to say his turn as a gay man in a MOVIE is why he died. He died because he chose to take to many meds at the same time NOT because he played a gay man in a stupid movie. DUMBARSE!!!

Heath Ledger was a very wealthy man during this life. He was estimated at $20 million, plus his estate at the time of his death in NYC. Remember the "Broke Mountain, movie won 71 awards for that film not to mention "The Patriot" and the all time favorite "10 Things I Hate About You". I hope that Matilda will not have to want for anything.

How is it that he had so little money. I mean $145,000 seems like very little to a person in his position.

Heath Ledger did not have to worry about his beloved daughter, Matilda, being cared for in the future. He knew his family would do exactly that, just as they now state they will. Perhaps Heath wanted his family to supervise his estate until Matilda comes of age? Michelle Williams was not Heath's wife, nor were they even a couple by the time of Heath's incredibly premature death on January 22nd, 2008.

RIP, Heath.

When adults create assets in their lives, attorneys suggest strongly that they create last will and testaments for themselves. It is not a measure of age as much as it's a measure of financial success and/or responsibilities. Especially if that financial success is global. Age is not the issue.

All I wanna say is that I don't think it's really anyone's business what was in his will anyway. I think his family would agree. I had the opportunity to meet Heath a number of times over the past 4 years because of a friend we had in common. Everytime I saw him and asked how Matilda was... he'd go on about how she was the love of his life, along with Michelle. Just because he didn't update his will, doesn't mean he was a "dead beat" dad, because that's totally untrue. Most people in their 20s don't have a will, but the day after he died, myself, at 23, filed my own will and living will. Exact words to my family "I can file this, walk outside--someone can shoot me, stab me, or I can get hit by a bus.. and you'll be glad I did this now."

Heath was a great person and a wonderful actor, its still hard to watch him in movies..and probably will be for awhile. RIP Heath!
