I personally dont care all that much, maybe kate really didnt know who katherine was? i mean its possible, i doubt celebrites watch a whole lot of t.v.? did kate make this statement after 27dresses and knocked up? I think she would have known who she was after that. Anyway.. Ive never seen kate in anything but romantic comedies?? and she always plays the same type role, i mean shes good at that role, but its always the same one. but who am i to talk i probablly couldnt do what she does. and i will never have the money she does :)

This is BS and a very petty, catty comment. Shows jealousy and low character on Hudson's part. Personally, I don't think Kate can act and much prefer the down-to-earth, warm Heigl, who is a good actress.

Sounds like a bit of jealousy on Hudson's part. How could anyone not know who Heigl is? Sad to say....Hudson has tried to get a career going, but probably has only received the opportunities/attention that she has because she's Goldie's daughter. Heigl has become a well known actress - in her own right - and seems to have a well-adjusted attitude to the attention that has come with it. Hudson seems to be doing whatever she can....to get attention. She could have came up with a nicer comment that wouldn't have made her seem so catty....that's a show of who she is!

I think that perhaps that comment was in fact taken out of context. Both actresses are talented in their own right. We all say things that might suggest other things... maybe Kate is so into her work she doesn't have time to read tabloids or the various names of cleberities slip her mind like any person who has a life can do from time to time. Why make a big deal about it.

I can't believe Kate Hudson didn't know who Katherine Heigl was. The reason being is My Mom doesn't know whom anyone is, she can't name an actor or actress to save her life. Everytime I ask her anything about someone famous she sais " I don't know who that is ", but the one actress she knows and loves and talks about is Katherine Heigl. Kate Hudson is jealous because she is not as pretty and is probably going to lose out on parts to her being that they are both blonde comedic actors and was trying to down play Katherine's fame. Kate was playing games obviously. No way as an actrees at that level, you wouldn't be aware of the up & coming competition. Unless you're smoking crack or something.

So sick of both of them...but at least Heigl didn't just ride in on her Mom's coat tails. Hudson would be nothing without that!
