I wouldn't say Mariah Carey is "white". She is as ethnically mixed as anyone can be. His father is Afro-Venezuelan (African and Spanish ancestry) and her mother is Irish descent. In the old days in this country she would have been classified as black, although she could "pass". She is also Hispanic and looks it. Either way, Mariah is of the human race and so is her husband. She is a few years older than he is too. But really, who cares anymore!

i dont think its about the race and age, it was just shocking news period, at first, but then the way she started threating him was like wow,
she needs to get over herself, she makes things such a huge deal for the
fact that she hasn't been getting as much attention as she use to before.
And besides, nicks starting to look old, fits her age. But that could also mean shes putting him under too much pressure.

Mariah Carey is awesome. One of the top women on the planet. Even though I don't agree with her marrying nick cannon, I sort of thought he wasn't the best choice for her. But if she is happy, then. I am her number one fan, nobody can touch it. The only thing I don't agree with is them having kids YUCK, I hope they look like her and not him.

Mariah is half African American, African Venezulan, her dad actually looks like Nick Cannon, he is a dark skinned chocolate black man. Even her Venezuelan side is black. There are black people in Venezuela, lots of them.

Surprised they tied the knot, but happy for them. 11yrs is a bit of an age difference. Mariah looks great now but what happens 15 to 20 yrs later when shes 60 and nick is breaking 50. Mariah better be in tip top shape cuz that can make a difference in a relationship with an age gap. I dated an older women for 7 yrs who was 7 yrs older than me. Ill admit. She was great, if you know what I mean and I loved her. So I dont mind these type of relationships, but 11 yrs is pushing it a bit. Anything less than 10yrs is cool if your looking at it in longterms.

11:05 - I agree with you. I'm sure in some cases it IS because of people's races. But in this case, I don't think people are upset because he's black. I think it's just because they got married so quick. Whether he's black, white, or yellow, don't marry somebody you've only known for 6 weeks!

People think this relationship is weird becasue it happend so fast, no one has ever even seen them together before, and she is such a DIVA you would think she would marry some super rich and powerful type guy. Not a comedian.
