I know nobody will probably even read this because it's an old article, but I have to say something. Some people commenting need to grow up. She really did love Heath Ledger, just read some of the interviews she did while they were dating. She talked about how much she wanted children and implied that he was the right person for that. The truth is, most, if not all, of us will love more than one person in our lifetime. If something happens to that person, it's going to hurt. Just because she isn't the mother of his child, doesn't mean it hurt her any less than it did Michelle.

You people are really not too smart huh? She's canceled all of her work b/c she doesn't want to talk to the press about it. That's WHY! Not b/c she's been pining away for him or anything else more dramatic you'd love to believe but b/c she wants to be respectful to his family and his memory and the media will hound her like a dog relentlessly. So that's why if you want to know the truth. She is not doing press nor is she going to the premiere b/c that will give the media a chance to hound her. She hasn't stopped her life for this. i don't agree.i think it really speaks volumes about her character and the degree of friendship her and heath had.it's a beautiful thing really and i don't think she did it to send the message that she doesn't want to be with liev...she wouldn't have had a child with liev if she didn't want to be with him.lol.

I think anyone can say what they want about this situation. OBVIOUSLY she is morning. I know I would be if my ex passed away...My ex is not be one of my favorite people BUT we were together for such a long time that he will always have a TINY piece of my heart. If one of his ex's or one of his bed buddies wants to say "He was a good guy and he will be missed" what is wrong with that??It's not like Michele is even reading this celeb web site..and if she was I think she would be disgusted and upset that people are saying sh!tty things about people just because they are upset about it. I know I would be. I know all of the people that he was close to is upset right now, and I can truly feel their pain. My Grandma passed away this Saturday and I wouldn't care if anyone said anything like "she will be missed", or "She was a wonderful person." I would care if someone was being a b!tch to the people that were trying to say something comforting about it. Come on people. I am NOT trying to call anyone out or start a fight with anyone but come on, people will and can say what they want, we do live in America.

I have to agree. My god, what is WRONG with grieving the loss of an ex? If any one of my ex's died suddenly I would be devastated as well. I've been lucky enough to remain friends with most of my ex's and would be terribly upset, etc. It should be no reflection on her current relationship whatsover....unless it reflects that she is a caring, nice, decent human being. Good lord, people, LIGHTEN UP.

Wow- that's really big of her. Do you want us to give her a cookie? She did the only natural thing to do. This isn't even worth reporting. It won't make me think she's any bigger of a person. If someone has a heart and soul, this action would be easy to do.

This was the smartest thing she could've done. The press would have surely hounded her for her opinion regarding her ex's death.

Just because they arent together anymore doesnt mean that she doesnt still have a place for him in her heart. Maybe they realized they were better off as friends than as lovers. It happens. It's better than losing them in your life completely. At some point they loved one another enough for her to want to marry him and start a family, so naturally this would be very upsetting to her. If there were still feelings of hurt, deep down inside, surely this is not something she would've wished for him--regardless. Maybe she doesnt want to break down and cry in front of the cameras. More so, staying out of the press is her way of keeping it about who it should be about--Michelle and Matilda, who will always see her father when she looks at herself in the mirror but doesnt know him and was too young to even remember him. That is the real tragedy here.

and I also can't believe than men would even hook up w women like these who would have so little class/consideration for his own family that they would be capable of spreading their little tet-a-tet plans all over the news the day after he dies (like Christensen)..(surely she must have done similar things that would show what she is like & he must have had a clue what her personality is like)..Michele hasn't even said anything yet, although she and her daughter are the ones the most affected by this..
