I think it's weird that the comments are gone from the Hasselbeck article too. I guess there's no such thing as freedom of speech and none of us are mature enough to have a serious discourse on the subject. By the way, I'm no Hasselbeck fan (I don't believe in the majority of her views, nor do I even watch "The View," I've disliked it and it's cast from day one until now), but I completely understand her point of view and I think it's wrong that she was essentially being told to shut up and accept that this is the way it is. I agree that it's a bad word and I have never once used it publicly or privately, and I don't see why anyone in today's world would actually use it anymore. Ceasing to use the word doesn't mean that the past is forgotten, it means that people have learned from the past, and in an effort to move toward a more united future, people understand that concessions must be made. As a black person, I find it thoroughly offensive that it's used by anyone. I also don't get how some women think calling themselves b****es and c***s means they "own" those words. I would never call myself either of those terms and the thought that any woman would refer to herself in such a way makes me rather sad.

Not trying to be mean but there's a photo of Nicole & Keith out & about. Who dresses her? Her shirt with the little flowers on it, or something, is UGLY. She is a beautiful woman with a beautiful figure but the clothing with the lace & flowers & bows have to GO! The posters who say she didn't actually carry the baby & deliver her are ridiculous! Of course she had her baby; she is a very tall woman who chose to stay healthy and workout through her pregnancy. Her figure WOULD bounce right back as it did, good for her! Your jealousy is pretty damn funny.

Nicole and Keith will make wonderful parents. Nicole has tried for so long to have a baby. For all you idiots who are blasting her, because " she is so old". have you ever thought she has had a problem conceiving? This was not her choice to wait. { her own words in a interview}. Her children bella and connor said they chose to live half the time with their dad and half with their mom. Now at their ages, they can come and go when they want at both parents blessings. { same interview} Even tom cruise has said this. Tom Cruise said he wants to keep the children happy, at whatever cost. Sunday Rose will grow up to be a wonderful young lady, away from hollywood, and close to her siblings with no " deformities and abnormaltites", because of her mothers age. That is the most dumbest thing I have ever heard of. Congratulations to Nicole and Keith!!!

Apparently our nation's school system has failed in teaching the children of today as is evidenced by the comment made by Anonymous 12:00 PM. While having a child over 35 leaves a woman at a greater risk for having a child with a chromosomal abnormality such as Down Syndrome, with proper medical care and a healthy lifestyle, many women over 35 can have perfectly healthy children. Besides, a woman over 35 can get an amniocentesis to check for Down Syndrome. Also, I have yet to read any literature about the possibility of a child being born healthy to an older mother who one day develops some for of mental retardation or mental insufficiencies. She had a healthy child so mind your business. Actually, in many cases, older parents live longer to be there for their children, whether because of a desire to be there leading them to live a healthy lifestyle or some other reason. There are plenty of older women (and she is by no means an "old" woman) who are active and healthy and play an integral role in their children's lives. Though cliche, age is just a number, and a 40-something woman could be in far better shape than a woman half her age. I guess you better start popping out all the babies you want in the 6 years you have before 30 because otherwise you'll be too old according to your own standards.

I guess some people never get a babysitter they just stay with their kids until the kid turns 18.

Congrats to Nicole and Keith!! I don't think she was to old to have a baby. My mother in law was in her 40s when she had my husband and there is nothing wrong with him, he is 34. Now days it is common for women to wait to have children.

I couldn't care less about Nicole's age, but the fact that no details of the birth have been released is strange. Considering how much she went out of her way to show her belly it seems strange that no one has talked about where she gave birth or how. It's also funny how at her age (and if she supposedly had a few miscarriages) that she would be working out as strenuously as she did even in the last few days of her pregnancy. And the continuation of the botox (and other things) leads me to believe that she didn't have that baby. I think if she did have a surrogate it would have been a wonderful story for women who cannot carry their children, it's nothing to be ashamed about. I also think it's a little sad that her other children don't seem to be a priority for her. When you see Angelina with her children it's obvious that she loves them equally and it doesn't seem that Nicole has the same kind of love for her adopted children.
