Eliot Spitzer may have lost the governorship of New York following his hooker scandal, but he's been offered another gig — posing nude in Playgirl magazine.
"His sex appeal lies in being a successful businessman and politician," the mag's editor-in-chief, Nicole Caldwell, tells Usmagazine.com. "Women like a guy who is in control, and a man who knows what he wants."
Caldwell posted an open letter on Playgirl's blog last week asking Spitzer to "strut his sexuality" — and receive "a very attractive offer" of payment. She tells Us that she's not "at liberty to say an exact [price] quote, but we would certainly be willing to pay him handsomely!"
The former governor has not yet answered the call ("I know he's difficult to reach," Caldwell tells Us), but Caldwell already has some ideas for the centerfold spread.
"We would like to put him in the Governor's mansion, a business-like atmosphere," Caldwell says. An Ashley Dupre-lookalike, Spitzer's preferred hooker, may appear in the shoot "wearing a Girls Gone Wild shirt."
What about the famous socks, that Spitzer reportedly donned while hooking up with Dupre?
"Maybe we'd keep him in socks to start, but no woman wants a man in socks the whole time," Caldwell admits.
But for now all these plans are on hold.
"We're still patiently waiting for Eliot Spitzer," Caldwell says.

If sleeping with a hooker weren't enough to make his wife leave him, I guarantee him posing for Playgirl would be the end of their marriage. Is this story really worth being in US Weekly. The people reporting the stories about men in positions of power cheating and D-list celeb wanna-be's getting unnecessary attention really should take a step back and look at the standards they bring to journalism.

Thank you "US Magazine" for sensationalizing this story yet again. Nicole Caldwell and anyone else supporting this at "Playgirl" needs to take a flying leap off a very tall building. What a disgusting thing to want him to pose nude. A man that cheated with a hooker is not something that should be sensationalized. I don't see why this story needs to be publicized anymore than it has. Let this be. I feel so bad for the Spitzer family.

Unbelievable. His family is hurt enough, but to make light of the situation?! Why doesn't Nicole Caldwell just rip out his wife and daughters' hearts and step on them. What a slap in the face that would be his family. Then again, if Spitzer is dumb enough to actually do it, he's the bigger a-hole than that publication.
