What a great soul she has! and performanship! and personality! and she even was nice and mature (unlike Janis Joplin).

I think at her core Amanda's not the rebel she pretends to be. I really loved one of her performances - amazing - and the others were good, but cookie cutter performances, one the same as the next.

The ones who are REALLLLLLLY getting on my nerves are the ones who pout and go into their baby acts when things are not quite going their way. Romiele goes into her baby act over almost anything. She gloms onto a person like a koala hanging onto a tree - until that person gets the boot and then she has to find another one to hang onto...until that person gets the boot and then she's onto the next... (I'm actually surprised she hasn't sucked her thumb on stage).

Brooke White's "Let It Be" was spectacular but otherwise, she acts like such a baby, too with the huge pout she clearly thinks is cute. She's in an adult competition and needs to grow up, show up like an adult and take it like a woman, however it plays.

Or...maybe there need to be American Idol pacifiers, if these two are signs of a trend.

For that matter, Carly goes into a "poor me" act, too, at the drop of a hat. From the sounds of it, she's had LOTS of opportunities in the industry, but she goes down that "POOR POOR CARLY" path at every turn. I hoped she'd get booted this week. "POOR POOR CARLY" is old old old. (Those tattoos, too, are beginning to look OLD OLD OLD...oh so yesterday...)

Amanda is a unique individual. Her style may not be liked by the young teenies or the elevator crowd but but she has her place in music.

Hey, so if anyone knows what place she will be sing at in Lafayette It would be worth a plane ticket to go see her.

I don't think we have heard the last from her....and if we have...good luck with what ever she choose to do with her life....Life if a journey....not a destination...just enjoy the ride girl!

From all of the top 12 contestants, I don't like her the most. She always gives her fake smile and it looks unsincere. She comes across as an arrogant performer, stubborn and bighead. Just go back to work in the hospital with your patients. That's where you belong!!

I am so glad that Amanda went home! Simon was right when he said that people would get bored because she sang the same way every week. She did not belong in the top 12!!!

To all those people who say she is awful- keep in mind that we all don't share the same taste in music. By no means am I suggesting she could've/should've won- but I would have liked to see her a few more times. She and David Cook add fun and rock to a show that is full of slow balladesque songs, makes you feel like you are watching a real concert. Her style may have put people off but at least she was original- she had her own style and she embraced that. Kristy Lee has a nice voice but the fact that she finds herself in the bottom 3 times in a row suggests that she should be the next to go.

Amanda's style of singing was not going to get her very far, but I can easily see her being an opening singer for a band like the Black Crowes.

I'm pretty happy she left. She would always sing the same way every week and it got old fast. Well she didn't "sing" it was more hollering than anything.
