anyone who makes a huge living off of a very deliberate and calculating sexual image, should be the last person to complain of sexism. she was most definantly trying for a marilyn monroe thing and when it backfired, she got miffed. im glad obama put a qick stop to it.

Scarlett really disappoints me. I don't know about anyone else, but I was appalled to think that Obama was taking the time to listen to any celebrity, male or female, because I don't want a President who will pander to the affluent and elite. It's not sexism, particularly when a lot of women take issue with it too. If it had been George Clooney or whomever, I still would have thought that it was ridiculous. The problem dear Scarlett isn't sexism, it's the fear that a Presidential nominee is too caught up in being a celebrity himself that he won't be the leader the rest of the country needs. It's one thing to say hello briefly during a fundraiser or during campaigning, but it's an entirely other situation to take the time to send personal e-mails to an out of touch with reality celeb. And if you believe Obama, which I'd like to think you can since he could be our next President, then he didn't even respond to her and it was certainly not an e-mail "relationship." It would be far better if all celebs (musicians, actors and actresses, producers, etc...) kept their personal political beliefs to themselves. It's bad enough you see one famous person in a hideous outfit and then a million people run to copy the trend. I don't want to worry that some mindless lemmings are going to vote for someone because their favorite actress is. This whole celebrity factor will backfire. It did for John Kerry and he had a far fewer celebs actually campaigning for him. And really, Scarlett made the comments. You can't make the statement and say the meaning was misconstrued. When talking about any Presidential nominee you should choose your words carefully.

I am not married yet, not even engaged yet heheh but just the feeling of having each other, be sure enough of what you both have to spend time apart from each other and get a chance to miss insanely the other person, its amazing! And that mentality of after you're married he's hooked, that is just plain wrong! that's why you see so many young couples divorcing, they take things for granted...

Why get engaged and then get married immediately. The time of being engaged is wonderful, special and sweet. You are much more in love. Once you are married, it is not the same. Wow, bitter much? You must be in a really bad marriage. You're right though, it's not the same after you get married, it's better! I hated planning my wedding, for me it wasn't about the wedding though it was about a whole lifetime so that one day is just a blip in the grand scheme.

Sorry to hear that you don't spend much time with your spouse now that you are married, that's really sad. In a healthy marriage you spend time together doing things that you enjoy. Making each other laugh, being there for each other when you are down. At the same time, being secure enough to spend time apart is also a sign of a healthy relationship. There should be no consideration of someone being "hooked" that's kind of stalker crazy if you ask me. If that's how you went into your marriage no wonder your spouse isn't around much, they feel smothered.

'personal dialogue' is not something to neccesarily mean 'OMG..I emailed Obama about how I want to have him screw my brains out in the oval office' However, people need to choose words a little more carefully...because that phrase is very easily minipulated into meaning the above, rather than it's intention of 'I personally emailed Obama and he sent a personal response' Which is what 'personal dialogue' most likly meant. We turn everything into something sexual now. Either way, who cares. Presidants have screwed around in the white house for generation upon generation...all the same.

Evidentally, you have half a brain. She makes a good point, if a male celebrity was emailing with Obama it would be a non-issue. Since she is a young, beautiful woman, the media turns it into DRAMA.

She is just annoying to me. Yes, she has a great body but her face borders on unattractive. Her personality sucks. As for being in "no rush" to get married, I'd think if he was good enough to father her children she would have done that FIRST. If she hasn't decided if he is husband material, then how on earth could he be FATHER material? Disgusting, just like auctioning herself off for a date on eBay- no class that one.
