The Sex and the City girls never had to starve themselves to fit into their sexy couture.

"Michael Patrick King, our director, has never told us to lose weight," Kristin Davis told Usmagazine.com at The Point Foundation awards in NYC on Monday. "We've been in a nice situation where we've been appreciated for ourselves.

"All four of us — none of us are extreme dieters," added Davis, 43, who hit the red carpet arm-in-arm with co-stars Sarah Jessica Parker, Kim Cattrall and Cynthia Nixon (who was being honored by the foundation).

Davis said she's met "a lot of people who are starving, and that's a crazy thing to do.

"If you ask Sarah Jessica that question, she'll say the same thing," Davis added. "I'm not interested in going into any insane thing like that."

Davis admitted, "I'm never going to be the thinnest actress in town. And I'm fine with that."
