It's ridiculous to let a 2 year old have a bottle. My kids switched to sippies by 6 mo, and around 18 mo were drinking out of regular cups and glasses. It's a horrible habit to walk around with a bottle, and one that's easy to break. JUST STOP. Throw the bottles away, and deal with the tantrum.

Yes, my 2 year old wants lots of things, but that doesn't mean I give them to him. Grow up, Katie - more importantly, start standing up to the stupid Scientology crap that you're not supposed to say no to children.

For goodness sake. This toddler is obviously not abused, and she is obviously loved. I'd hold my child too, as long as I could lift them, if there were paparazzi every where we went. It's just safer with all the cramming and huddling for position to get a pic.

As a mom of a 1 yr old, switching from bottle to cup isnt as easy as it sounds. Some moms are push overs...maybe Katie is? I dont know. And neither does anyone else not in their inner circle of friends.

It doesnt matter to me if Suri is on the bottle or not but the bottom line is that 2 years old is too old 2 be on the bottle Period. Its also unhealthy for her teeth that are trying to grow in. My 1 year old turned 1 in March and she wont suck a bottle. She has been on the sippy since she turned 1 and now looks at a bottle as a foreign object

GIVE ME A BREAK! If the child is comforted by the bottle, give it to her. Of course try the big kid cups, but you will be doing more harm than good by taking away the bottle at this age. My son is two and a half and he has his bottle and his baby and they are his "security blanket". Don't these folks get enough of our "comments"? Can't we just leave them to their own devices?

I think that's it's better she have both a bottle and a sippy cup than just a bottle. Maybe having both is a way of easing her in. As for walking on her own, the paparazzi would trample her, I read an article once there were so many cameras, Suri held her arm to block the flashes and cried, and that's in, i think, Tom's arm. So, maybe letting her walk near paparazzi isn't such a great idea!!!! oh, and whoever thinks Suri isn't Katie and Tom's is insane, she's theirs, have you seen Katie's baby pics? They look really similar!

Our society is so off base, we see the results in our insecure and problem riddled children, and still spout doctrines that are downright damaging.

2:22 makes excellent points. My son is excelling in school, is a good looking NON-mama's boy, doesn't abuse drugs or alcohol (he is old enough to drink and does, but in moderation)and feels fairly normal. This after health and family issues that might have caused some serious adjustment problems. The urge to suckle and find comfort is a natural childhood way of dealing with stress.

We should perhaps stop denying our animal instincts and give our children what they need, not what some disconnected "professional" says

I can't believe that people would suggest that Katie and Tom let Suri "walk on her own" Can you imagine a little two year old trying to get passed the PAPS? Come on people, use your brain! As far as the bottle goes, who cares? I've heard of doctors suggesting the bottle with children who are not getting enough milk. People get so worked up about this stuff, why? How many adults do you see walking around sucking on bottles? I'm sure she'll wean herself off eventually.

My daughter use a pacifier at night until she was 4. It made her happy. Helped her fall asleep.

She has perfect teeth.
She has straight A's in school.
She is captain of her soccer team.
She is very popular with all her friends.
She is a natural born leader and assertive.

I think these people saying whether a kid has or doesn't have a bottle, a sippy cup, a pacifier, etc. are just plain ignorant.

A child is going to be who they are, regardless of what drinking device they use when they are little. Give me a break and shut up.

She’s probably always holding her " in the pictures " because of the swarm of PAPS. I wouldn't let her down with dozens of strangers all in our faces!! someone can easily knock her down or something.. so stop the complaining people!! you're not there!! and who cares if she’s still on the bottle.. who cares if she has to have a sippy cup and bottle at the same time!! my gosh.. acting as if the world is about to end!!
