So you believe everything you hear? Obviously if it was a conspiracy they would have the news release state something to the effect that was released. People are so stupid. Did you see the heart? or the autopsy? lol. Duh if it was a conspiracy they would have it covered so well that no one would have seen the body except those that they wanted to see it, and any information that came out would be fabricated, but logical and possible. I love how people say "oh the paper says A happened!! so theres no way it could be B!" duh its called misinformation. And it happens all the time, maliciously or not. Use you're brains folks - regardless of what Tim Russets death was if it was a conspiracy YOU wouldn't know. They're that good.

My heartfelt sympathy goes out to Tim's family. He was the best of the best in the job he loved so dearly. I had the utmost respect for his professionalism, judgment, and analytical abilities that were objective and on target. "Meet the Press" was one of my favorite programs. I especially appreciated the manner in which Tim conducted the presidential debate interviews with the prospective candidates and looked forward to his comments on many topics. Tim's death is a huge loss to us all. I will miss him!

No test or procedure would have prevented the unfortunate and untimely death of Mr. Russert.
A CT scan would have shown a minor narrowing in the LAD (the artery responsible for his heart attack) and elsewhere. A catheterization would have shown the same thing.
These narrowings are not helped by angioplasty, stents, or bypass surgery.
Control of his blood pressure, cholesterol, regular exercise (all of which he was apparently doing) and a daily aspirin would reduce his risk of heart attack, but NOT TO ZERO.
Contrary to the emotional and uninformed comments above, Mr. Russert's doctor was not responsible for his death.
There was no error of omission or commission. And no conspiracy.
Stuff, sadly, happens.

RIP Tim Russert. You will forever be in our hearts. I will say a prayer for you and your family on this special day. Happy Fathers Day!

I think they should investigate Dr. Newman. A disease like that should have been prevented with proper tests and all the technology available. It's not like Tim Russert didn't have insurance like most Americans. As a matter a fact he probably had the best one like most politicians in Washington.I hate to say it but maybe there was some kind of conspiracy????

Wow, what lame comments thus far. I didn't really give him "much thought" until his passing. From all media sources, he seemed like one of the most decent liberals out there. He was also far too young, very sad for his family. God bless.
