He was good-naturedly booed for not being from Chicago, NOT because of his singing, as implied. The same thing would have happened to Brett Favre. I'm a Chicago Bear fan, but love Tony Romo. Come to Chicago to play football, Tony, not just sing at Cub games. We need a good quarterback! And, unlike Dallas, we won't pick on your girlfriend.

Chicago Cubs fans to Tony Romo: don't quit your day job!
The Cowboys quarterback attempted to sing an off-key version of "Take Me Out to the Ball Game" at Sunday's baseball game.
Romo, who was sans girlfriend Jessica Simpson, also threw out the first pitch — and was booed by fans, according to the Chicago Tribune.
Tell Us: What do you think of Tony's singing?

my hats off to my man tony. at least he had fun & was smiling. that's good to see.
You all should just cut him some slack. Is he a professional singer? No. He's a quarterback with a great sense of humor. He may be a Wisconsin native, but he went to school at Eastern Illinois. Apparently that doesn't count for anything to those Cubbys.
Heyy! I'm a DIE-HARD Cubs fan and listen to the broadcast pretty much everyday. Here's the deal with the 7th Inning Stretch: it's hardly EVER good. Even actualy singes have completely screwed it up. Granted, some are worse than others. I would say that Tony was a little worse than average, but he was no Jeff Gordon. Gordon got booed for how incredibly bad he was. Tony just got booed cause he's the QB of the Cowboys. And I'm honestly surprised about that cause Bear fans really have no reason to hate Dallas. Green Bay fans, eh. that's another story. But even if he'd given a grammy- worthy performance, it wouldn't have mattered. It's just the way things are. Let him have his fun- and who cares who he dates. Maybe you're all dating people just as moronic but nobody's criticizing you cause you're not in the public spotlight.
WOW! This is seriously so fuNNy! I could seeing him being the life of a college fraternity party! My hat's off to ya buddy! :D Thanks for the laughs and the memories!
Okay people who are posting rude comments. First, he was having fun. Good for him. Second, (most importantly) he's the cowboys star QB. People in Chicago will show him No love because of that fact. If Rex Grossman sang at the Ranger's Stadium (in Arlington Texas) he'd get booed too. At least he'd deserve it, he's a terrible QB.
OMG! please stop seeing Jessica! please
People just rag on him incessantly now cuz he's Jessica's boyfriend. That's pathetic. You know all those guys would jump at the chance to date her too, even if they criticize her intelligence.
Word of advice Tony..............dump Jessica, focus on football and stop looking like an idiot and a fool !
THAT WAS FREAKIN HORRIBLE OMG!!!!!!!!!!!! SOUNDS AS BAD AS HIS GIRLFRIEND DOES!
It was all the males, in the stadium, booing, because this guy is Eye Candy for us ladies...Unfortunately, he is from Wisconsin, so that probably did him in...he had no chance with the Famous Cubs Fans!!
TOny romo singing has inspired me to follow my dream to be a singer and play in the NFL. HE has given me a reason to live!!
Give him long blonde hair and a huge hand bag and he could pass as Jessica Simpson.
As any Cubs fan would know...he was nowhere near as bad as Jeff Gordon or Ozzy Osbourne (well Ozzy was just funny). Of course he's booed, he plays for the Cowboys and he's from Wisconsin.
As a Cubs fan, I think Tony Romo was horrible! At least he could have learned the words to the song (even though they were right in front of him). Every single home game has someone new singing, so I say find someone who actually cares about the game!
Actually the announcer said Jessica was there, but when ask who was with him he would not name name's...
He was so cute and looked like he had fun doing it. He was laughing at himself because I think he knows he is a horrible singer. He seems like a good guy!
You know, it took Tony Romo, Jessica Simpson's boyfriend, a lot of guts to get up in front of a lot of people & perform," Take me out to the ball game". His singing wasn't that bad, etc.
I agree, that takes guts. He seems like a real nice, funny guy. Jessica Simpson better hold on to this one.
What a sweetie! At least he had the nerve to do it!
