Zac Efron Takes on Blogger Perez Hilton's Gay Accusation

High School Musical hottie Zac Efron is sounding off about rumors that he is gay.

"I know it’s very addictive to read that kind of stuff. It’s entertainment," he tells the January/February issue of Details, citing Perez Hilton, who has often questioned the actor’s sexuality. "He’s doing something right. I think he does a great job."

Pausing, he adds,"Honestly, if the worst he can say about me is that I’m gay, then I think I’ll be fine. I can handle it."

(He recently went on a date with HSM co-star and girlfriend Vanessa Hudgens.)

Efron also spoke out about the fact that his upcoming comedy Seventeen was created as a star vehicle for him.

"It’s weird, but I don’t feel like I deserve any of the attention," he says. "There’s really nothing but one audition for a Disney channel movie that separates me from 2,000 other brown-haired, blue-eyed guys in L.A., you know?"

But the actor says he is in it for the long haul.

"These days everyone is just waiting for me to f—k up," Efron, 20, says. "I’m not gonna give anyone the satisfaction of that."

If i rate Zac Efron's masculinity from 1 to 10 i will give him 8%! A normal rate of a man. It means 80% masculine, 20% feminine. I think Zac is suffering from the so called Narcissistic personality disorder. Well, my definition for that is different. The greek God Narcissus, a hero of the territory of Thespiae in Boeotia who was renowned for his beauty. He was so in love with his looks and everyday he sat by the pool and look at himself, admires and even love himself that much! Zac is defenitely narcissistic, because the way he perceives himself as a star and needs to be always looking good reflects on his deeds. The fact is 90% of actors on TV are gays..most of them belongs to the Brokeback Mountain of Ang Lee! If Zacharias (Zac) Efron does belong to the Brokeback Federation then so be it! Who is so bothered and so in pain of that! So why dont you feel the same way with those ordinary gays around and start giving them a mouthful of criticism? For me, Zac Efron is not a Gay, unless he admits it thats when i'll believe it! But since its just a rumor, and he doesn't wear a pink ribbon yet, Zac is still a guy for me.
