I TOTALLY DISAGREE WITH THE CLASSLESS AND IMMATURE WAY THAT ALICIA TREATED ELISABETH. I NEVER WAS A FAN AND NOW I NEVER WILL BE. SHE WAS SO RUDE AND DISRESPECTFUL AND IT WAS DISGUSTING TO WATCH. SHE SHOULD FEEL EMBARASSED FOR HERSELF. ALICIA SHOULD JUST GROW UP.

We live in a free society and should be respectful of all views, whether or not we agree. I think Alicia responded with immaturity and very little class.

PS, sorry I forgot to add that my husband just retired last year from the Air Force, and served overseas....so sometimes Rosie's comments really, really tick off the troops...and most of them say she does not speak for them. One other thing is that she is a giving person who does a lot for the troops...but her political views (which she is entitled to) are really not good for morale. That is not just for Rosie, but all the liberals. As a Republican/Christian, wife a war veteran, we need to get out of Iraq, but we need a plan to protect our country....no one who is running for President has impressed me enough to vote for them....who will be a good President?? ANYONE BUT HILLARY, OBAMA, and MITT I will vote for anyone but those 3, they are too scary.

Alicia doesn't have to hug anybody. If Elisabeth doesn't like it maybe she should educate herself a little about the history of this country and stop parroting what the tools at ABC tell her to say.

I really like Elizabeth, and as much as i think Rosie is funny, she needs to leave, all she does is cause conflict on that show, she is so bitter, she has definetly changed in the last few years. AND as for Donald Trump, he is no better than Rosie, all he does is start trouble, he may have money but he has nothing else going for him, except his beautiful wife and son(get out while you can). Also I am very disappointed in Alicia Silverstone, what is her problem, oh could be that she is falling off the radar needed to pull a little publicity stunt there. It's almost as if Rosie picks fights with Elizabeth for what she thinks and feels. Obviously, Elizabeth doesn't see eye to eye with Rosie's views, therefore Rosie likes to knit pick and provoke.
And let's be honest, I think all of us were shocked with Elizabeth's outburst toward Rosie on Weds. It's so unlike Elizabeth. She is reserved and some-what covets her feelings....without expressing what she's really thinking. I sympathized with her just because I know what it feels like to be "fed up" or "tired" of people's behavior. I always tell people "You can step on my toes once..maybe twice..but that 3rd time I'm gonna come at you and it isn't going to be the most pleasant experience you'll want to have".
I saw that in Elizabeth on Weds. She'd had enough! What would you do? Continue to let the BULLY walk all over you on public TV? Rosie has some mental issues she needs to address....

I think the most ironic thing is that Donald Trump is now on team Rosie! My, my, how quickly alliances change......

If this ain't an indication that the Donald-Rosie feud was staged, I don't know what is. The Elisabeth-Rosie fight was probably also staged. See how much attention it brough to Barbara Walters' biggest mistake? The producers definitely encouraged it, at the very least.

So Alicia Silverstone doesn't like overbearing, aggressive people who go rabid on TV, but she should be "polite" and hug them?? Come on! She showed strength of conviction by snubbing her. She was perfectly polite when verbally addressed by her, but there was no reason she needed to HUG the woman. If she was appalled by porn, and some porn monger was on the panel and had just been rabidly exploiting women, should she hug that person? NO! If she believed OJ killed his wife and her friend and he was on the panel, trying to hawk his book that didn't go to print, should she hug him? NO! If Don Imus was on the panel and had gone off on a big rant about women being inferior, should she hug him? NO!

Elisabeth was 100% unprofessional. AS should be applauded for her tact in the situation.

For the few who insist on giving Elisabeth etiquette credit where none is due--I guess you didn't notice her put her hands on her hips in a very obvious huff after being snubbed. Well, I guess you must not watch the show much at all, actually, because she has gotten louder and more overbearing every day. She is so outrageously competitive, and yet she has nothing to "compete" with except her obnoxiousness. Yes, Joy and Rosie talk over others--everyone on the show does, and it's definitely annoying--and so competitive little Elisabeth feels the need to be QUEEN of that, so she all but stands on the table, shouting down at the others. The last voice I ever want to hear at all, much less in overdrive, would be Elisabeth Hasslebeck's. I'd rather bang my head against the wall a couple of hundred times.

And for the commenter who feels AS "needs" the show to sell her current movie...the two need each other. Shows like The View exist for the sole purpose of stars coming on to hawk their wares, and THEY are relying on the stars to do so. Without them, The View would just be an hour of SCREAMING BANSHEES. Surely people would have to tire of that at some point.

For all those people who feel a need to say bad things about Elisabeth, you need a reality check. The fact is, she is part of the View whether anyone likes her or not. She is gets attention for who she is and whether its good or bad, everyone still knows her name, right? My point is, the View was created so that they could have different women of all ages with different views on things. She is what the show wanted and apparently because all you people are still talking about how bad of a person she is, you are just creating more attention to the show so that either more people will watch to see how she acts on the show or you may have the few people who don't want to watch. Either way, she has made a name for herself and it seems to working out for her and the show quite well.

All I have to say in regards to this, is that the troops did not kill all 655,000 people of Iraq. Most of those are from their own people. I don't agree with the way that statement was phrases.

She's an idiot. She's not that big of a star, I hate mean people. She's just as ugly and mean as Rosie. Elisabeth is a beautiful, strong woman and Alicia doesn't hold a candle to the class that Elisabeth has. Didn't her mother teach her any manners. Shame on you!!

Good for Elisabeth for carrying herself like a lady in the midst of all that trash.
