Baby in Theater story

OMG, I could NOT stop laughing as I read this article. Tears were literally streaming down my face as I attempted to muffle my laughter/sniffling. I went and saw the movie-awesome by the way- and sat next to this 19 year old college newbie with her 23 year old child-molesting boyfriend who both insisted on purchasing wrapper-only food. Ya know, Now and Laters, any kind of chocolate that had tin foil, those kinds of things.

Well, beastie the magnificent devoured his crinkling candy a little too quickly and began coughing. And coughing. And coughing. And he was, of course out of liquid...I knew because he spent the previews doing the suck and swirl thing with the straw at the bottom of the cup. So as the coughing commenced, I slowly started to reach over my boyfriend towards the dying perv. My boyfriend, catching on rather quickly, realized that I was in fact not handing him a bottle of water so much as reaching over to slap him. Traitor.

I clenched and huffed throughout the movie, but at the end, I won a small victory. As we all got up to leave, I turned to him and said "Uh,yah, you forgot to pick up your trash. Ya know, the trash you tried to hide by shuffling your feet around for 25 freakin minutes? Yah, it's right there." And then I proceeded to give him the gun-hand signal and the cliched wink/cluck of the tongue-and then my boyfriend encouraged us both to flee because the "howyoudoin?" wink really pissed him off. Ah, the small victories in life.

As for the baby blog - I also was feeling her pain and laughing as well. I would NEVER bring a baby into a theatre regardless of the movie. But to bring one into a LATE show AND loud and high action one is just plain selfish on the parents part. They should have gotten a babysitter or wait til it's on video.

JT always has his hand on the pulse! No one enjoys being humiliated in a restaurant by having the waitstaff make a spectacle of them. His cheeky irreverence in Right On!

OMG...just read the article about the patron who went to see Bourne Ultimatum at 11:00 p.m. only to have a 2-month child making noise throughout the theatre...laughed my butt off at her blog, but felt her pain...seems I always get stuck next to the gum chewing, can't close my mouth when I eat popcorn, I refuse to wear deodorant patrons myself! Yep, no kids at movies after 9:00 pm!
