An early report said that when the drunk driver was first told she'd hit Bullock and James that she laughed hysterically. That's alcoholism, it reeks of completely inappropriate thinking and behavior - that's why it's called: cunning, baffling, and powerful.

Note to 8:35PM Maya: alcoholics do not get therapy and miraculously 'take control or their addictions'. If they're serious about getting sober they choose sobriety and an on-going recovery program and get a 'one day at a time' reprieve from the unmanagability and insanity.

I am sure this woman was shaken up by the fact that she could have killed someone. I am sure she has gotten into the car plenty of times, but this is the first time hitting someone. It is obvious by just looking at her that she has been abusing alcohol for a while. Hopefully this will inspire her to seek counseling for this and take control of her addiction. All I can say is that she is lucky that it was Sandra Bullock that she hit, because most people would not be showing that kind of mercy.

I am glad Sandra Bullock was nice to this old alcoholic who had no regard for anyone but herself when she decided to get into a car with a blood alcohol higher than the legal limit. Enough said!!

If she was going by her married name wouldn't it read Mrs. James???

That was very gracious of Sandra, she did not have to be nice at all to the drunk driver, and the repercussions of her drunk driving could have been a lot worse.
Thank God neither party was injured.
