"Type" is irrelevant. A man should not betray his marriage to the woman to whom he pledged fidelity in order to have sex or a relationship with a teenage girl. The relative appearances of the women are irrelevant.

As a supermodel who still looks good, I am sure Christie would have had no problem finding a teenage or 20-something boy who was "hotter" than her husband and might want to have sex with her or work as her "assistant." She would not do it as that would be disgusting to most women -- especially if they have teenage and pre-teenage children of their own.

When someone proposes that you can put your wife up against all the women in the world and then have sex with any person who seems "hotter looking" than your wife, that person is treating women as interchangeable sexual objects valued solely for looks. Lifetime relationships and marriages need to be based on love and mutual respect, not just appearances, otherwise they have no depth and meaning. Moreover, a real man often finds a mature woman sexier, stronger and more appealing than a vulnerable young girl child. Any man who can't handle Christie Brinkley and treat her with utter respect, doesn't deserve her anyway.

It is time that people take responsibility and accountability for thier actions that occur within the sacred union of a marriage. If a man or woman defames this union and legal contract, making a mockery of the other person, ruining thier life and the lives of thier children, then they deserve to be seen publicly for who they are. This is crime like any other and probably worse than many because it leaves emotional damage that lasts a lifetime. People like Cooke need to be exposed so that not only the partner can be vindicated but so that other women know exactly who he is before they also become victims of a person who is likely a socipath and at the very least has many of the traits. This goes way beyond egos here. I just wonder when this society will get to a place where women are allowed to defend themselve against the abuse of men. Make no mistake, what Christy experienced was pure ambient abuse. I say to Christy, WAY TO GO! You are helping women in this country by what you are doing. Not only are you helping women but you are also helping to strengthen the sanctity of marriage. Maybe others from this point forward will have the guts to expose the disgusting lies that sit behind a pretty veneer. I think that Christie's children will look up to thier mother for not allowing herself to be a doormat.

I agree that it's his fault, partly. It's her fault too. A good girl wouldn't sleep with a married man. In addition to that, though, he was also her boss, and he was also SO much older than her. She's gross and you can't deny her part in it. He is just as disgusting. Betraying his family and his vows, preying on younger women. It's both of their faults. It couldn't have happened without both participants, and they are both lacking in the moral department.
