I think Ali Sims said the wrong thing, "Jamie Lynn is going to have fun". Raising a child is not fun it is hard and very serious feeding, getting up at 2 or 3 in the morning, the teething and the diaper changing. I realize she will probably have a nanny or someone to take care of the child but taking care of a baby is far from fun. GROW UP

I personally love the name Maddie. After all, it is my name too. I really think that she is taking this really well. There are tons of 17 year olds who have babies per year, and they can be great mothers. If Jamie is considered a "screw-up", then why aren't all 17 year olds who have babies a big deal? It's life, it happens. At least she can take care of her child; that's more than what I can say for alot of "adults".

I TRULY THINK JAMIE LYNN SHOULD GIVE THE BABY TO BRITNEY. I THINK IT WILL DO HER SOME GOOD TO HAVE A LITTLE BABY IN THE HOUSE AND WILL GIVE HER A CHANCE TO BUILD UP HER CONFIDENCE AS A PARENT. Im so sick and tired of parents saying they wont let their child watch a TV show because of some "scandal". Its not like they advertize these scandals right before the show airs.
So how would your daughter even know Jamie was preggers unless you told her that. Her show is not sharing this information. Only YOU can teach your child about the "birds and the bees"... YOU are the influence.. Geez... let your freakin kid watch her show...

I am 21 years old and my mom got pregnant when she was 16 and had me when she was 17. She was class president of her high school all 4 yrs, played varsity field hockey and basketball, was very popular with her peers, etc. but she still got pregnant at 16. The person she beat out as class president tried to impeach her because they said she wasn't a good role model. Everyone laughed at that person and my mom stayed as president. She had me over April school vacation and didn't miss a single day of school. She then went on to go to college full time while working full time and taking care of me. Now 21 years later she is a successful business woman owning 4 very successful companies of her own. She started out having nothing and made a great life for herself as well as me and my brother. I am so proud of her and thankful we all went through what we did. I couldn't ask for a better, more independent mom! I hope Jamie Lynn is able to stay focused on her goals like my mom was and lives a happy and healthy life. GOOD LUCK TO JAIME LYNN AND HER FAMILY!!!

who cares if she is a teen and pregnant..she has more means to support the child than most adults do. Teenagers are gonna do what they want reguardless of how much information or contraceptives there are out there. Im sure half of you people that left these retarded comments never did anything stupid when they were younger either cuz 90% at least problably had intercourse unprotected before they were 20.I dont know a single person who has waited til they are married.
