Studio 60 on the Sunset Strip star Amanda Peet, 35, has given birth to a baby girl.
Sources tell Usmagazine.com that Peet went into labor on Tuesday, resulting in the debut of Frances Pen – named after Peet’s mom, Penny.
The Syriana star and her screenwriter husband, David Benioff, 36, were married in September 2006. This is the first child for both. A rep for Peet didn't return calls for comment.

Hey Anon. 5:21, this is just a fun discussion about baby names. It is not a discussion to start spreading your liberal beliefs all over the place. While I think Natalie is a very pretty name, there is no way in h*ll that Natalie Maines is a true American. She is anti-American.

I put my mom in labor for a week! Besides, she probably didn't make the announcement until just now. Doesn't mean she was in labor for 4 days.
If I had a son, I would name him Cash, after Johnny Cash.
I also like the name Julia, but not because it's Julia Roberts' name. I just like the name.

wow, she went into labor on tuesday and just now had the baby? i would've demanded that they induce me! i was in labor for about 18 hours, and 3 hours into it they gave me whatever drug it is that helps push the labor along. anyhow....i wish the best for them. i hope that i have a baby girl next time. my fav celeb names are orlando, ashton, mariah, and gwyenth. but my kids will never have their names.

Congrats, Amanda! My favorite celeb names are David, Orlando,Ashton, and Gwyneth, but my kids would kill me if I would have named them after a celebrity. That is a pretty cruel thing to do :)
