Amy Poehler to Star on Office Spin-Off

 Michael Loccisano/FilmMagic Mom-to-be Amy Poehler is joining NBC's Office spin-off, she tells the Associated Press. "I can kind of confirm that I will be working in some capacity on that show," she said Thursday. "I don't really have any other details yet." Her name was first linked to the show in April, but resurfaced in late June when serious talks with the network began, according to the Hollywood Reporter. Poehler 37, and husband Will Arnett are currently expecting their first child. The spin-off is slated to debut after the Super Bowl in early February. Poehler has more exciting news: She's up for an Emmy! She was nominated for Outstanding Actress in a Comedy Series for Saturday Night Live. Arnett also received an Emmy nom for his guest performance on 30 Rock. "I am thrilled to be nominated and even happier that the show and writers were recognized as well," she said in a statement to Usmagazine.com. "Plus, my date got his own nod! Ummm, I have to admit that I am sorta embarrassed to be sharing Comment Space with the likes of most of you. Really, if you have such a low opinion of someone ... Like, I dunno, shut your pie hole after a while. Find something worthwhile to do. Something useful. It's true that the original casts of SNL were brilliant. Razor-sharp political and cultural satire. Great stuff! But it's also true that more recent casts have utterly rocked as well. And this cast has rolled out some of the most hilarious political humor EVER. Amy Poehler is a brilliant comedian. Tiny Fey is a genius. Will Arnett was UNBELIEVABLY FUNNY on Arrested Development. Good Lord. Just because it's not your taste doesn't mean you have, you know, very good taste.

Please leave SNL now. Maybe it will save the show. SNL has sucked ever since jimmy fallon, wil ferrell left. Tina Fey is a good writer, but as far as being funny,? She sucks!! Amy Poehler is only on SNL because her friend writes for the show, TINA FEY. Amy Hoe hler is a used up has been riding Tina's coat tails. She has got to be one of the ugliest women on tv. Im just glad i don't have high def!!

SNL hasn't been worth a damn in for several years... period... prove me wrong. SNL- JUST NOT FUNNY (unless you are a 'tard).. ALL cast members (including Amy Poehler) AGAIN, NOT FUNNY! So who cares???? Give me a break... if you think SNL is even a shadow of it's former self then YOU are don't know what funny is.... period. Yeah i personally do not like amy poelher she is in no way funny, as in every sketch on snl tina fey takes the spotlight over amy poelher... recently I saw BABY MAMMA which was just awful seriously.. amy's character is way over the top and in no way seeming like a believable character. just a terrible movie, terrible acting, and bad directing this was a slap across the face to whom ever watches this.

Man, oh man. This girl is such hype about nothing. "Oh, my God! She looks just like Harry Potter!" It's called make-up folks. Get over it. She is not funny. She is a marketing ploy. And her husband is the luckiest bastard in H-wood to have landed that part on Arrested Development. I suspect that this girl will eventually (not soon enough) succumb to over-exposure and will only be impressive to the jackasses in the tacky Boston suburbs.
