ITS REFRESHING TO AT LEAST SEE JUDGES SOMEWHERE THAT GIVE MORE THEN A FEW HOURS OR DAYS IN JAIL TO CELEBRITYS WHO THINK THEY HAVE A LICENCE TO BREAK THE LAW.

Amy's not doing anything different than any typical drunk college kid would do, or has done, around America for decades. She's a victim of the media. Nothing has changed with celebrities since the beginning of time, the media lens is just a whole lot wider and is on these poor kids 24/7. She's got a whopping big talent and five grammy awards to prove it. Hold your head up Amy, and don't let anyone bring you down.

Who cares,? but I'm not surprised to hear she got arrested! Also, who cares if her husband will stay in jail until at least June 9th!?, etc.

Yes drug addiction is a sad thing to watch, but I don't feel sorry for her or anyone else who takes drugs for pleasure. I'm fairly certain that nobody tied her down an stuck a needle in her. 3:11, Fame has a price-namely, the loss of anonymity. Tax evasion, drug abuse, and assault are all mistakes that can be made by anybody. But Amy Winehouse, Wesley Snipes, Lindsay Lohan, etc. are NOT just anybody. They are world-reknowned celebrities and the reality is that when you choose that way of life, you can't live life and make mistakes like you're just an everyday normal person. The world is watching you. You have to be extra on your guard in terms of whom you trust and how you act in public or the media is going to chew you up and spit you out. Amy Winehouse's and Lindsay Lohan's situations are different from Wesley Snipes'; drug addiction is a disease that can make people do terrible things and for that reason, I do sympathize with her and hope she gets help. At the same time, when someone has been given chance after chance by their record label, family and friends and they keep acting like this, sympathy starts to fade. I guess it's hard to empathize or sympathize with someone who seems to have it all - record deals, money, fame - and just throws it all away for drugs.

Leaving them alone is absolutely not what should be happening. They should be called out and embarassed in the public forum. With this generation of "celebrity" it seems to be the only way for them to recognize that their behavior is wrong or that they have a problem that needs to be dealt with by professionals.

I saw pictures of her from before and she was cute now.............she looks like a train wreck God help this girl!!

The point is, celebs are human. So are you 3:06. No one is perfect and a lot of normal people can relate to these stories because these problems affect our entire society. Not just Hollywood. I doubt you live a perfect, holy life.

You are all cruel for calling her a "freak show" and repulsive, etc. This girl is sick, mentally, physically and spiritually. She doesn't need sympathy but a little understanding and support is more constructive then condeming her. She is VERY talented and I hope she gets help. It's out there if she wants it.

I think she just got sober in FEB for the Grammy's! She's all strung out again! Somebody needs to take those awards AWAY FROM HER!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

What a great rolemodel for our young adults to look up to. And she get STILL GET AWARDS regardless of her behavior! UGGH! Disgusts me!
