Amy Adams
Raised as one of seven children, Adams was never lonely growing up in Castle Rock, Colorado. Although seven was a crowd, the young talent distinguished herself from her siblings with her mind-blowing singing voice and ambitions of becoming a ballerina. After spending her high school years singing in the school choir and training at a local dance company, she decided to ditch ballet and go into musical theater after graduating. Adams continues to prove herself as a talented Hollywood player—not just one that can act, but who can also set a theater on fire when she begins belting those tunes! Adams is currently dating actor Darren Le Gallo, who was last seen on the short-lived CBS series The Big Bang Theory. Adams’ first film debut was in the 1999 comedy Drop Dead Gorgeous. After listening to co-star Kirstie Alley's advice to move to Los Angeles, Adams career began to take off. From 2000 to 2002, the young actress appeared in a series of small films and television series. Her big break was supposed to be her performance playing Brenda Strong in Steven Spielberg's Catch Me if You Can. However, she didn't really hit the Hollywood jackpot until Junebug, an independent film with heart that premiered at the 2005 Sundance Film Festival to rave reviews. In 2007, the up-and-coming actress starred in the hit Disney film Enchanted alongside Patrick Dempsey. Her performance as Giselle - a princess displaced from her fairytale world to bustling New York City - allowed her to show off her acting skills and vocal talents simultaneously. The film was a crowd pleaser with audiences young and old. Recently, Adams appeared in Charlie Wilson's War alongside Tom Hanks and Julia Roberts. Fans can currently catch Adams on the big screen in Miss Pettigrew Lives for a Day.
