Amy Winehouse won five Grammys: Record of the Year, Best New Artist, Song of the Year for "Rehab," Best Vocal Album and Best Pop Vocal Performance.
After accepting her award, an emotional Winehouse, who was joined on stage by her dad and mom, thanked her parents, record label and "incarcerated Blake" — her husband, who has been behind bars since last last year.
"I can’t believe I’ve won 5 awards. It’s a shame I couldn’t be there to accept the awards but I’m so proud and happy that I had the opportunity to perform for the Grammys in my hometown of London with my family and friends around me," she said. "Thank you, thank you, thank you!” .
The British singer, 24, — who had visa issues earlier this week — performed two songs tonight via satellite from London.
Mark Ronson, who produced Winehouse's album Back to Black, also took home Producer of the Year.

i'm not going to down talk Amy....
but Paramore should have gotten it!!
Amy's singing style is just weird to me.
but that's just me.
i know a lot of you guys like her style. =/
Hold a candle to Beyonce and her weave will catch fire. That's about it. It is already clear that the people who don't like Amy are judging her based on her press. None of them have sat through her songs, hence the "she only has one song." Yes and three CDs that have a unified, clear, distinct sound and material that have placed it atop several charts internationally. Amy deserved 6 Grammy Awards.
I watched her performance and I think she is one of the worst performers I have ever seen. Not only was her winning a joke, but that people like her music at all is completely ridiculous. I honestly believe that Asian guy from American Idol had more talent.
She tries to pass herself off as a 60's singer, but the fact remains she would not hold a candle to Beyonce even in that. The same lame songs Amy Winehouse sings are completely cookie cutter, but from another era. If she was in that era she wouldn't even have made it as a back up singer.
The grammy's are a joke for me now, and I don't think I will waste my time watching them again...my 2 cents.
HATERS!!!!SO WHAT???PEOPLE MAKE HER A STAR AND RICH,NOT THE OTHER WAY AROUND.AT LEAST SHE IS FAMOUS AND GOT MONEY.WHAT SHE DOES IN HER PRIVATE LIFE IS NONE OF YOUR BUSINESS.AND DON'T ACT LIKE YOU ALL ARE PERFECT,CAUSE NOBODY IS!!!!!

My name is lucy. I am a single girl from the US and believe that the Internet is a quite good place to meet new friends. I would like to meet a man who is out of my race for a serious interracial relationship; so anyone who may be interested can check out my photos on the famous site interracialloves.com, under the name of Lucyseeking. See you there
I listen to John Legend-- his music got me turned on to Amy's music. Amy's health and *music career*, not necessarily her *music*, is suffering at the expense of her substance abuse. I do think it IS killing her off, but-- her voice is very soulful. Real. In general, I'm not into award shows, too scripted,-- but I think that Amy deserved the recognition--for her music-- I have listened to all of her songs btw as she was coming out in the industry. I should add that I am a very big music fan, and I don't believe that when an award is given to an artist it is a statement about the lack of talent and hard work on the part of other artists. It's more about what is speaking to people at a given moment. And the music industry is NOT consumed by "what is right" "who's a better role model" because music is an ART form....unless you believe in censorship...like any art it THRIVES on the beautiful and the ugly, the appropriate and the inappropriate, tasteful and dejected. The music and the image become intertwined because the image fuels the artists self expression--music.
It's too bad that she couldn't come into the US to accept her awards because of the visa issues....which had to do with her having drug convictions against her. Personally, I can't believe that she was even nominated for an award for anything....she has a voice like a man and she really isn't very attractive. But whatever.....if that's what ya like!!
I can't believe she won anything. She must have slipped the judges some of what she smokes.
dont worry kita, i got your back beoch!!!
love ya baby boo!

you kind of sound like the "pot calling the kettel black". why not let others express how they feel! get over it loser!!!! oh, and how can she "LOOK" like an idiot when you have never seen her. or maybe you have!! could she be your idiot mother??
-jessie
lol oh wow a dancing crack head.... how stimulating is this? I dunno this is a waste of a grammy they prolly had slim pickens tho between a crack head or a crazy person they prolly went with the crackhead because she was easier to get out of rehab then the nut house
Rahkita, Please educate yourself on the english language and take your damn finger off the submit button. You sound and look like a true idiot.
Personally I don't care for her but 5 is very impressive.
you people don't know talent when you see it. stop your hating on amy! she's better than any of those other acts you saw last night.rap sucks!!!!!!!!!
I wonder how creative or "talented" she would be WITHOUT the drugs. Just wondering... History has shown that some of our greatest musicians, poets and writers were nothing without their stimulant of choice. Lessons learned? Not a chance. We are doomed to repeat the past and drugs unfortunately were prevalent then and even more so today. Who knows what will be in the future...

The people in the spotlight are supposed to be role models. How dare the Grammy's to give 5 awards to someone just shown smoking a crackpipe and who is currently in rehab. What is next Michael Vick is going to be added to the Board of Directors for the SPCA or PETA. Oh maybe Michael Jackson can open his own home for wayward boys. I wonder how many of you "its about the music" folks would send your children there.
Shame on the Grammy's and shame on those who think this is okay. Let's hope that your children or future children don't grow up thinking these actions are good for them because society is so readily willing to be accepting of these drug adicts because that's not what the awards are about.
*****Here's a novel idea! Why don't PARENTS be role models to their OWN children and STOP blaming celebs?!?!? When you become rich and famous, it is NOT your responsibility to be a role model for everyone's kids. This is the job of the PARENTS, so why are they trying to abdicate it? Most celebs are ADULTS, so why should they live their lives according to what minors can't do because they are underage? Parents need to get a grip. If your children are falling by the wayside, it is NO ONE'S FAULT BUT YOUR OWN.
Someone should tell her that America won't stand for the truth for very long!!!! America wants candy-coated bling. They have no time or respect for anyone who tells the truth.
Kita mamma-
i agree with all that you say, but PALEEEASSSSEAAAAAAAAA quit posting a trillion times. once is good. you get your point across gurl!
luv yous!
-Keyona
tru dat kita momma!! i feel ya baby boo!
I can't believe she won any whatsoever! freaking crackhead! I can't stand her!! ICK!
What is with the big hair? Reminds me of a 60s hairspray chic. I guess some people just have their OWN style.
I totally agree 71cuda...first of all you have to give teens more credit. They aren't going to start doing drugs because one celebrity is doing drugs. I think it's more about what is in the environment they live in and what crowd they are going with.

You said "The people in the spotlight are supposed to be role models."
-Yes they are, but its not a perfect world, not even close actually. You're on UsWeekly, so you know whats going on. A large group of today's celebs are messed up. Amy Winehouse and her lifestyle is hardly a drop in the bucket. For people worried about Amy Winehouse's influence on kids, well, believe me I hate to say it, but kids are gonna get into drugs with or without Amy Winehouse.
I think she has an awesome voice. Just because it is not cookie cutter sounding and all edited. That's what makes it awesome! And as far as her drug problem, I feel bad for her no one really knows what is going on in her life. Drugs and music go together and have always. it's sad that people are ten times harder on her then others who are known to do drugs...
No, the people in the spotlight are NOT SUPPOSED to be role models and there is no history of them having been so. If your kids grow up thinking drugs are ok, look to yourself. Parents have the most influence.
I can't agree with this comment more, she sucks!
I just don't see it -- what do people see in this
um, performer (???) Her voice is awful. Her look is awful. She's a crackhead. WTF? Glad America continues to cater to the REHABBED crew! gross.
