Angelina Jolie and Brad Pitt Gave $8 Million to Charity in 2006

 Todd Williamson/WireImage.com Angelina Jolie and Brad Pitt don't just talk the talk: the couple forked over $8 million for their foundation in 2006, according to federal tax filings. Jolie, 32, and Pitt, 44, supplied their joint foundation with over $4 million each. Half of their contribution came from the sale of their baby photos. In 2006, the foundation donated about $2.4 million, including $1 million gifts to Doctors Without Borders (International Division) and the Global AIDS Alliance. The foundation's other donations include: $137,935 to the Namibia Red Cross Action Program (Jolie gave birth to Shiloh in Namibia); $100,000 to the Daniel Pearl Foundation (Jolie played the widow of the slain journalist in A Mighty Heart); and $100,000 to the Epidermolysis Bulloma Medical Research Foundation, which is supported by other A-listers including Jennifer Aniston and Courteney Cox. Pitt and Jolie, Us' Couple of the Year, have also backed the cause of rebuilding the gulf coast, where Pitt recently enlisted the aid of Bill Clinton for his Make It Right project. Frauds? These two make millions working at their jobs....as actors in movies. AND they are raising 6 children. To all who criticize them charging for the photos of their children....why let the paparazzis take pics of the babies and sell them? That money would surely not go to charity. So the Jolie-Pitts control the sale and release of the photos and give the money to their charities. And why does Jen Anniston's name even still come up in relation to these two? It has been at least two years and all of the parties involved have moved on. So why haven't you? Jen has a new love and the Jolie-Pitts have definitely proved they are a loving family in their own right.

ask yourselves something. How much did you give to charity this year.What makes anyone think they enjoy the media nosing into the $ amounts they put here or there? I personally can't think of any unwritten rule that says they have to give a penny to anything or anyone!In fact it's too bad they don't let me take the photos of their twins as i would put at least 99% in a fund for them to distribute as they see fit, not in some slippery papparazis pocket or some meaningless corporate account that does nothing. I say bravo to anyone willing to do give up their cash no matter how much they have or how easy we all seem to think they aquired it!

I think that if HALF of the people who talk a good talk would follow Brad and Angies example of walking the good walk, this world would be a much better place. People who say they are fakes must be so full of anger. If u have ever raised ONE child you know the sacrifice and changes in freedom and lifestyle that it takes. And since they have been together they have donated mega millions to help others. I'm not sure what else 2 people can do to prove they are very REAL and very kind. God bless them and their family.

Did you notice that this return is for 6 months -- 7/06-12/06 -- not 12 months? Their administrative costs were .00375 of their total assets -- unheard of! Maybe the $$$$$ for the photos went directly to the charities and that was part of the deal to leverage the highest possible dollar amount for the humanitarian efforts. They contributed $600k to various causes in Namibia -- that isn't reflected here either so it was probably a personal donation. Who says Pax' photos were sold? This FOX News "investigation" is of the Jolie-Pitt Foundation, only. Angelina and and Brad are individuals, they file an individual return each year and their foundation is separate. They very likely have many trusts they have created over the years, as well as their personal & individual production companies. It is likely their total donations for 2006 far exceed this amount and more even for 2007. Where did that money go that was paid for Jennifer Lopez's nauseating photos last week -- or Xtina's or Ritchie's or Britney Spears? How much did Limbaugh, Hannity, Clooney, Willis, Costner and Roberts give for 2006?

No matter what anyone says about Jolie and the way she conducts her life, I am a fan of anyone who follows their passion and helps those in need. I would much rather see Pitt and Jolie splashed across the news for reasons such as the ones listed above, as opposed to receiving a breakdown of what fashions they're wearing and other pointless gossip. Angelina gets my kudos.

LOL…the tabs need to let it go. BP and AJ will have given birth to their third child or Shiloh will be graduating from high school and they’ll still be yammering on about ‘Jen’s Pain’….SHEESH. Those of you who think AJ would need to plant this story are beyond hilarious. Since when has she had any jurisdiction with the tabloids? If she had any pull in that area she wouldn’t have been attacked in them for most of the last 3 years…she don’t even have a publicist LOL. The tabs spin this crap because it sells. The root of it was the initial interview given by JA and they just keep running with it. Bottom line, it is OBVIOUS that BP and AJ came together for a reason. From what I’ve seen they appear to be happy with each other and their family. JA appears to have moved on as well and is living her life they way she choosed to. Those of you wishing for the past need to get over it. It is what it is and there’s no turning back the clock.
