When Angelina Jolie’s mother, Marcheline Bertrand, passed away on January 27 after a six year fight with cancer, she left her daughter in the hands of the one person who can help Jolie get through this difficult period.
Specifically, the only man who has brought stability and domesticity to her life: Brad Pitt.
That afternoon, Jolie, 31, and Pitt, 43, arrived at Cedars-Sinai Medical Center to be with Bertrand, 56, during her last hours.
“Everybody cried,” says a Jolie friend. “Marcheline told Angelina and Brad that she loved them. It was incredibly emotional.”
Bertrand herself had grown quite fond of Pitt – especially after seeing her daughter date (and, in two cases, marry) the wrong men.
Shortly before the birth of daughter Shiloh Jolie-Pitt last May, Bertrand told Us, “I love Brad. He is wonderful. I am very, very happy and very excited for them.”
The Babel actor even accompanied Jolie on her visits to the Raffles L’Ermitage, Beverly Hills hotel where Bertrand lived in a suite.
“Marcheline approved of their relationship completely,” says a source. “And Brad loved her.”

The only time she started to look like she moved on is after her movie success.Before that She went on shows like that infamous Opera show or give interviews try to turn the world against them. I hate her for that. Brad come out with relation ship after the divorce was guranted. It was after almost 8 months separtation do the maths. Everybody did it just the same way tom cruise, kate hudson, j.lo, mark anthony, nick lashey, britney the list is endeless. Why she went on crying and acted like innocent victim ? why the other actors ex's didn't do like her? Isn't he the man she once called not the love of her life? Why she caused this all things against him ? Everybody knows he wanted children and when he get the chance he acted acordingly why blame him? If there is a Karma like they say she will get paid for this.

Brad knew about Angelina's mother from the get go. Remember, he visited her mother in the begining before they decided to go ahead with this relationship. The point is, he GOT TOGETHER with Angelina even after knowing that about her mother...

Helen 3:40: The divorce was not granted at the time I mentioned these events took place. I do not understand why you would say JA needed to be more realistic. About what??? I think she handled the divorce in a very appropriate manner. She did not drag the divorce out (like most Hollywood couples). She signed divorce papers and moved on. Was she sad??? Probably. There is nothing wrong with that. It is a very human and normal emotion; however, she has not dwelled in sadness. She has clearly moved on. She goes out with friends, dates, works, parties etc. What is it you think she should do????

This is ridiculous. Why do we always put the blame on the woman, in this case, Angelina? If Angelina and Brad hadn't gotten together then Brad would have cheated with someone else. Once a cheater always a cheater. Correct, it was immoral for her to involve herself with a married man, but what is DONE is DONE! You can't rewrite history, and now they have added children to the mix, which is a huge deal, and we need to accept the fact that what happened with Brad and Jen cannot be undone. Perhaps the reason it bothers people so much is they saw Brad and Jen as the ideal couple and now that image is shattered and it makes them think, "If they can't make it work how can I?"
Now, she is going through a tough time, her mother just died for crying out loud! She is a person too, she has feelings, and we need to give her some space to let her grieve. GET A LIFE! If your life consists of bad mouthing celebrities...or harrassing them, spending all of your time putting them down, then that is sad. Take up a sport or something, it's pathetic that you're on some web page trashing Angelina! I'm on here to read a story about a person who lost somebody very important in their life, and hopefully to give you some insight on how to treat her!
I can only hope that when her children grow up they won't have to hear all the hateful nasty comments people made about their mother.
AND MAKE BRAD TAKE SOME RESPONSIBLITY! He let himself be taken...he wasn't forced out of his marraige.

Angelina is a wonderful person: she is a talented actress, a loving mother, daughter, "wife" and girlfriend, a committed UN embassador, a mindful activist for humanity, a natural and friendly neighbour... I wish there are many people like her. Common people believe that being rich and successful makes you inside beautiful. No, it is much more difficult to keep being inside rooted and not to follow the path of false beauty and wealth and not to do things that only looks nice but is in fact of no deeper sense. I hope Angelina remains "angel"-lina a role model for many of us. We need this kind of leadership.

Both Brad and Angelina have said that NOTHING happened before he and Jennifer Split. So that it was we must believe. I was shocked and very sad when Brad and Jen split, I had always liked Angelina, but thought Brad and Jen were perfect... But now seeing Brad and Angelina together, I feel differently. They seem to just fit. I can remember seeing an interview years ago with Brad saying something along the line of he being to selfish in his own life to have kids, but looks like that all has changed... I hope Jen finds love again... She deserves it... But I wish Angelina and Brad all the happiness in the world... Along with their Children...

Some celebrities donate anonyomously while others bring awareness to their causes. Most people admire AJ but some find her conduct was less than honorable in the past years. Helen 1:46: I agree with you up to a point. He should be with AJ if that is the woman he loves. I think both BP and JA understand this.......that is why they decided to divorce in a very dignified manner. I do think BP could have handled the divorce a little better out of respect for what he once had with JA. There was no reason to do the W magazine spread, accompany his alleged mistress to adopt a child and get photographed on every continent with his alleged mistress at the time. Once the divorce was final he is free to do what he wishes but while he was still married he should have shown more respect.

Waited patiently for her, took two yrs off work, she had a stint on friends to get pregnant - nope didn't happen! she said after friends. I am sorry for Angie's loss. Look, the bottom line is her mother had cancer. And no matter how you feel about a person, if someone passes away there should be some respect and privacy shown. unfortunately, in this day and age people have all but forgotten that. I for one am sorry to hear about her loss. I don't know when some people became judge and jury over how someone is in their personal life. But I've never passed judgment on this woman. Why? B/c i don't know her personally. I do like her as an actress. I respect others opinions if they don't like her. But some take it to a disheartening extreme. There are entertainers I don't like but if something tragic happens, I'm not going to gloat about my hate for them. That in turn breeds bad karma and you're asking for it. I think especially with the Globes situation where a lot of people in the media (minus a few with sense) jumped the proverbial gun and attacked her behavior without knowing why she was in that emotional state shows the irrational, hypocritical stance of the way things are today. I'm sorry if I have a loved one dying of cancer, I wouldn't want Ryan Seacrest asking me some dumb questions about eggs and cereal either. And not once have these people said they were sorry. "oh, that's why she acted so strangely?" NO CRAP! Enough with the wannabe, witty cynicism, bitter blogs and stop taking celeb lives so seriously with the saliciousness of it all. A person passed away, why can't there be respect with that? Is this what it all boils down to? If so, no wonder there's so much bitterness and bad luck out there.
