From frumpy to fabulous! In The Devil Wears Prada (out June 30), Anne Hathaway, 23, plays Andy, a dowdy aspiring NYC journalist who stumbles into a job at fashion’s top magazine: Runway. As an assistant to its diva editor portrayed by Meryl Streep, 57, (“She’s the best actress in the world,†Hathaway coos.), Hathaway’s character reinvents herself as an impeccably dressed fashionista.
“I wanted to keep the Chanel boots," the actress tells Us. "My love of Chanel is out of my control! I also fell in love with Valentino. Now I can wear it without feeling like I’m raiding my mother’s closet.â€
Though costar Emily Blunt says she was told to lose weight to “on the edge of sickness thin†for her role in the film, Hathaway was asked to pack it on. “The director said I had to gain 10 pounds [before filming began]. I was like, ‘No problem!’ I ate pizza, beer, ice cream – the college diet. I condensed the freshman year into just four weeks.â€
Has she always wanted to be an actress? “For about three years, I thought I wanted to be a nun,†Hathaway confesses. “I also wanted to be president!â€

FORGET ANNE! even though she does look nice check out the greatest actress ever! Meryl Streep she is the best! my favorite actress ever! but what scared me in this movie was the part where her and anne were discusing the shoot for the ay and meryl was opening up to her and talkng to anne about the divorce! She had no make up on it was different but i got over it! WOW! its suprising for this movie that she was actually opening up! She's the best i LOVE! her!

Bloggers, we all seem to agree on this one. I've always thought that this girl was gorgeous. She kinda puts me in the mind of a younger Julia Roberts....with her toothy smile and all...and she was wearing the hell outta that Chanel in "The Devil Wears Prada." ;)

She was excellent in Havoc...Pretty good (yet at times grossly disturbing movie but with overall good message)movie...I think she is fabulous and should get more credit as an actress...and who doesnt love Chanel?? Not me, thats for sure :)

Well, here's the negative comment.
Just the fact that she was in "the Princess Diaries" 1 and 2....stops me from ever thinking this girl is ahem, a good actress.
Yes, the picture is very lovely. However, in that outfit she looks like she's about to fight some tigers in a gladiator "two go in, one comes out" kind'a way.
