Ashlee Simpson is pregnant, a source confirmed to Usmagazine.com.
The singer, 23, is expecting her first child with fiancé Pete Wentz, 28.
Simpson and the Fall Out Boy bassist announced their engagement Wednesday.
"We are thrilled to confirm their engagement and congratulate this happy couple," a spokesperson for the couple told Us. "Beyond that there is nothing to say."
Simpson's rep had no comment.
Simpson and Wentz began dating in late 2006.
"They are ecstatic and can't wait to be man and wife," a source told Us. "They will be getting married before the end of the year."
Wentz, who co-founded Fall Out Boy in 2001, told Us this month that he was open to marriage.
"When you find someone you think is your soulmate, it's inevitable," he said.
Simpson – who had a role on Seventh Heaven – will release her new album, Bittersweet World, on April 22.

All I can say is IF she is pregnant, congrats to them. She is old enough to be pregnant, also when people complain about her not being married and maybe pregnant needs to get a life. Its 2008, so many ppl out there stars or not have kids and not married. You dont need to be married to have a good relationship. So if she is I say its good news, and if she isnt I wish ppl would leave her alone. It is up to the female if she wants to tell everyone if she is pregnant or not. I wish ppl would leave her alone and when she is ready if she is pregnant she will tell everyone.

i don't think that you should believe anything before their rep or whoever confirms it, but i have a feeling that maybe ashlee is pregnant! I mean, did you hear her "denying " the pregnancy rumors? "Some things, you want to keep personal, and I think that when people deny [reports that they're pregnant], it's probably because it's something they want to keep personal" .... emphasis on the last part! LOL. she's also probably one of those people who "deny [reports that they're pregnant], because it's something they want to keep personal" If she really wasn't pregnant she would be "typical ashlee" and giggle it off but in that comment you could tell that she was personally offended by the "rumors" and people interviewing her about it, meaning that it might not just be a rumor. I just hope that if she is pregnant she should just come clean instead of delivering unclear replies. I guess i'm just acting a little weird about it because i feel like ashlee really is pregnant and her former-pastor/manager/father is forcing her to deny it because the pregnancy would be pre-marital making the baby (in the christian world) a bastard and lord knows them christians are terrified of that!LOL

Really what do you people care you don't have to live with,look at, or talk to these people.
If the world would mind it's own business in the first place then there wouldn't be a high demand for the paparazzi and in turn there wouldn't be all the drama trying to hide from them.
Try to put yourself in their shoes for 1 day. See how wonderful "WE" make their lives "NOT"
I wouldn't want to be any star for 1 day, The public makes stars' lives a living hell.

11:29, Au contraire, mon petit fou, I am neither ignorant nor brown-nosed in a "Simpson" way. Having simply payed attention to who gets it right and who gets it wrong, People comes out on top. Us weekly tends to be a little quick on the proverbial trigger, which sometimes leaves them with egg on their face. I'm not defending ANYONE, just stating observations based on fact. 12:42 While I don't believe most of the stories by Us weekly myself, I still have to wonder about this one. Ashlee is not a selling face, so why make this up? She denied it herself, but all she said was that if all the rumors about her were true, she would have had a baby by now. Kinda sounds like what Nicole Kidman said when she too was denying her pregnancy which turned out to be true.
I believe it is their bussiness to tell the press or not, but sometimes you have to take both the denials and the tabloid rumors with a grain of salt.
I guess we'll just wait and see!
