but people need to drop it already. it wasn't particularly funny when it started, and it's gone on way more than long enough.

the rick astley cover was an abysmal idea on her part, no doubt. however, she has now tried to make amends by now giving the song out for free. i think that's a more than fair concession. can't both sides just now shake hands and make peace? isn't that good enough for everyone?

and to anyone who would harbor ill will towards any the sick, please do read 'seasoned nurse''s post just below me. i agree completely. we should never live in a world where a person's illness (real or not) might count as a blow against them. the sick deserve the same rights/respect as the healthy. but again, don't worry, ashley is fine.

I am a nurse, and I can tell you it is absolutely illegal to break confidentiality-ever regarding someone's HIV status, celebrity or not, they could be sued if story were true or not..But what does it matter anyways? Does that make her less of an actor? Many doctors and nurses also are HIV positive, does that make them less of a Dr or nurse or other medical professional?? Any one of us walking around could have it, or contract it careful or not. Don't be so judgemental, like the other person stated, god said to love the sick also. Maybe we should be worried about pleasing him more. Stay strong Ashley, don't pay attention to it.

I'm just sorry that we have not come far enough in our society to accept those with HIV and AIDS. So much so that children are not allowed to swim in public pools and Stars such as Ashley are forced to hide the fact that they are infected. I don't know if this rumor is true or not but to scramble and deny the rumor as disney and her publisist did is a sharp blow to all with this virus.
