Ashley Tisdale Tells Fans She Cancelled Shows Due to Nose Surgery

Singer Ashley Tisdale, who underwent surgery two weeks ago for what she claims was to repair a deviated septum, debuted her post-surgery nose Friday night at the Z100 Jingle Ball concert in New York City.

But then the High School Musical star cancelled concerts over the weekend in Miami and Philadelphia.

Tisdale explained her last-minute cancellations to fans Monday night in a letter on her Web site:

I'm so sorry I wasn't able to be at the holiday shows this weekend. I haven't fully recovered from my surgery and had to make the difficult decision to cancel the appearances.

When my surgery was scheduled, we didn't think it would be necessary to cancel the shows because my doctor thought I would heal in time. Unfortunately, the deviated septum was more significant than we originally thought so the healing process is taking longer.

The last thing I ever want to do is disappoint my fans. I flew out to the east coast with the dancers and crew, still hoping I would be well enough to perform.

I hope you all have a very happy holiday season.

i think ashley did this for her nose problems she has been having.did you know she passed out on stage and was sent to the hospital all because of her nose it didn't heal well enough before she was suppost to go on.i think she should sew the nose doctor who did that to her i mean after all he is the one who told her she could go on and perform

Maybe if you have a bad surgeon you look like that or take "a year to heal".

I had a rhinoplasty in '75 and went shopping (plaster nose cast and all) the third day. True you don't feel super normal in the first 48 hours, but within 2 weeks I had all but forgotten I'd had surgery. Your nose does change "some" over the next 6 - 12 months, but if you don't like the way it looks after 2 weeks, you're not going to like it later either.
