During the late 1990s, Tisdale had many guest appearances on several television shows. However, it wasn't until the Disney Channel made her part of their team that she became well known. In 2005, Tisdale was cast in the role of Maddie Fitzpatrick on The Suite Life of Zack & Cody. As the show became popular and Tisdale's singing talent became apparent, she was offered to be a featured performer on the Disney Channel. Her well-received performances eventually led her to her most successful role yet: playing Sharpay Evans in High school Musical and High School Musical 2. This role was significant for Tisdale because it allowed her to get her amazing alto voice heard yet again. Three songs that she performed in character on High School Musical managed to chart on the Billboard Hot 100 and this sparked her career as a recording artist. In February 2007, Tisdale released her first solo album, Headstrong, which debuted at number five on the Billboard 200 and includes her hit single "He Said She Said." Up next: High School Musical 3!
