B.J. Novak
Starring as Ryan on NBC’s The Office, B.J. Novak is no stranger to pulling double duty both in front of and behind the camera. Assisting the Office staff as both a writer and supervising producer, Novak has penned some of the show’s most memorable episodes, including “Diversity Day” and “Sexual Harassment.”
Schooled in the world of comedy, B.J. first appeared on Ashton Kutcher’s Punk’d, where he is famously remembered as Hilary Duff’s driving instructor. Other celebrities Novak targeted during his Punk’d run include Rachael Leigh Cook, Usher and Jaime Pressly. Named by Variety as one of 2003’s “Ten Comics to Watch,” the Massachusetts native — who attended high school with Office mate John Krasinski — has also showcased his material on the Comedy Central series Premium Blend. Novak appeared in 2007’s Reign Over Me and Knocked Up.
