First I'd like to address a comment made here regarding the women on the show getting a bit too emotional if eliminated. I believe most of that can be boiled down to the stress factor of having every waking moment of your life filmed, also there is a tendency for people to get closer than normal in a shorter amount of time if they have gone through a traumatic/unusual experience together. Not to mention what producers of the show may be telling them beforehand to get the best reaction they can out of them. We only see a very small percentage of what's really going on behind the scenes.

Am I surprised by the breakup? No. They lead lifestyles that are far too different to have been compatible. Shayne never really wanted to move to London. That had nothing to do with her acting career either as London does have studios, yes the UK does have a film industry so that was neither here nor there. Just a smoke screen.

The very first question those girls should have asked themselves is if they were chosen would they have happily moved to the UK and embraced a different way of life. If the answer was no they should not have been on for that season.

That being said I hope they do the UK/US theme again and possibly find girls that would really love to go with their hearts where ever that may lead.

She was terrible. Pretentious and clearly not his style. We were shocked that she was his choice anyway. No surprise.

Who knows, maybe it was true love and they'll find their way back to each other. They sure looked cute together and opposites do attract!

Classic example of a man thinking with the wrong head! I knew immediately it was doomed. Chelsea really loved him. He let an awesome lady just walk right out of his life for a few nights with the bimbo. Hardly worth it!

I'm sorry to admit, but I've always felt like they would never make it! Matt is honestly a decent guy and when he picked Shayne over Chelsea I couldn't believe it! Shayne is an actress and she was so fake and whiney all the dang time! Maybe Chelsea's still single?!

again, who cares? why cant i get on one of these damn shows and make millions????or my neighbor or the nurse i work with???? these people do this to get rich. problem is they were both already rich. cant middle class catch a break?

I am Not suprised at all. I remember rolling my eyes into the back of my head as I watched Matt propose to Shayne. He made a mistake in choosing her at all! There were a few other better options but the threw them away. I bet those girls are thinking "thank god that wasn't me".

Someone said that Deanna and Jesse will be next. I disagree. I picked him to win that from the beginning. After watching their relationship grow in each episode, it was clear that they are good together. They WILL marry next year as they have already announced.

I am totally shocked and sad -- I liked them both from the start. This season was the best ever! Matt and Shayne were awesome together! Matt picked the right girl, regardles of the recent outcome. I wish both of them the very best!

I am not really shocked. I had hoped that at least one "Bachelor" couple would make it. Matt is a super hunk to me!!! I thought he was great, but I did not like the fact he picked Shayne.....maybe because I would have liked for him to pick me...HA HA. I think it was his accent that I loved so much, but also like him because he seemed like a geniune guy. Shayne was OK, but I never liked Matt with her. I do not want to make negative comments about someone I do not even know, except for what you saw on the show, but Shayne did seem a little on the fake side to me. Oh well, seems like Trista and Ryan have been the only couple so far that has had a "true love" story. I wish Matt the very best and hope he finds a women that makes him laugh everyday and will not only be his life partner, but will be his best friend too.

She was a drama queen from day one and he knew that. He kept commenting on how gorgeous she was and let that overshadow the fact that she was high drama and high maintainance. He just couldn't see past the outside appearance. I really thought he had more sense than that, but apparently not. There were some wonderful bright AND beautiful women to choose from in that group of 25. He let stupidity get the best of him. I saw the show where she took him home to meet her mother. If I were a guy, at that point, I would have run out of there kicking and screaming. The mother was a plastic mess and I believe that Shane will end up that same way 20 years from now.

So much harsh remarks towards Shayne and we don't even know her!!!! She wasn't the first and won't be last for this show not to work. All the other Bachelors didn't work either. Her age was a factor for sure and he was a bit older and from another country. I do believe they fell for each other on the show but in the real world looks aren't everything.

He was crazy to pick her, she was nothing but a fake. I think he liked the fact her father was a tad famous. He got caught up in the rich and famous act. Her mother looked like she was well toasted, and terrible looking. Thank God for air brushing!!!!! I'm surprised it lasted THIS long. I'm glad he finally woke up. Why would any man want such a fake. There was nothing real about that girl!!!!

It's a shame someone has to be hurt through all this mess. I believe Miss Lames was true to her occupation. (An actress during the whole process) Mr. Grant I hope has learned his lesson and can look beyond a pretty face and look within a woman's heart and soul. Beauty is inside a woman and not always on the outside. Good luck looking for true love!

SO WHAT? This is what is wrong with this country. The Bachelor is considered entertainment.
