OMG.I am a Democrat and reading all the above makes me gag.At this point in our life isnt it obvious that the gas prices are increasing cause bush (I wont capitalize it either) cause he will be out of office soon and being the oil man that he is, he's making his final million and trillions right before he retires. This country was doomed when he was chosen president. All I know is that I hope to God that Hillary wins, and for those of you Republicans that will blame the Democrats for not balancing the budget should be slapped. The Democrats - once more, will be cleaning the crap and the millions of dollars that this ridiculous war has caused the USA. ne last thing. If Clinton had sex in the White House, how can that be as bad as being hated by every country in the world cause of bush. Think about it. Hillary all the way!!!!

Newscom
In the new issue of Us Weekly, presidential candidate Barack Obama invited news director Lara Cohen to join his campaign for a day. He described some of his best Just Like Us moments, and took our Presidential Pop Quiz (where he revealed that his daughters think Britney and Paris are "yuck").
Some excerpts from the Us interview:
How familiar are you with Us Weekly?
My wife reads it.
Do your daughters Sasha and Malia ever ask about Britney Spears?
Actually, yeah. But they're very sensible. They're pretty down on Britney and Paris and all of that. They think that's very "yuck." They're way more into Hannah Montana and Beyonce. They got to go backstage and meet Beyonce and they just love her to death.
Your supporters include Oprah Winfrey. Ever been starstruck?
I don't really get starstruck. Everyone I've met has been very nice and friendly, like Kal Penn. During the writers' strike, he was like a staffer! And Scarlett Johansson has been traveling a lot. George Clooney is a good friend. He and I worked on Darfur issues together. I'm always impressed by people who do their homework... and use their celebrity to advocate for issues. George does that just about as well as anyone I know.
So, boxers or briefs? Bill Clinton said he wore boxers in a 1992 interview with MTV.
I don't answer those humiliating questions. But whichever one it is, I look good in 'em!

Obama is black! Who likes blacks? Who cares about this canidate? He has a hidden anger that we haven't seen yet. Why? Because he wants to have the oval office job. Once he gets it, his true colors will shine. And not just black. Hes holding back his anger for the day he gets in office. Its sounds so much like Hitler. Hitler was the perfect canidate. He didn't smoke, he didn't cuse, he was perfect. So people thought. This is Obama's plan. He is a spitting image of Referend Wright. Who knows what this man is capable of. Everyone is so wrapped up in his repeated words. Anyone can stand uo and talk about change and what should be done. Who couldn't do that. Shoot so I wander if everyone would like me if I got on stage and talked about all of America's flaws and what needs to be changed? This man if full of hope, he will be supprised when he realizes hes not the only one in government calling the shots, and when he goes to call a shot it will be vetoed! Goodluck. Blacky!
2:05, I agree with what you had to say about our generation not being held accountable for the actions of our ancestors. There is another side of the coin that I don't think 6:18 spent too much time articulating. American life is still difficult for "minorities", *especially* in certain areas of the country. I'm part Mexican and part Caucasian. I noticed that when I first met people after I took my married "White" surname, some attitudes toward me were a little different...a little more accepting. Society is still biased. It goes both ways, though. Just because you may not be a bigoted person does not mean that many non-White people don't experience prejudice in their lives. I agree, you and I should not be hated based on what our ancestors did. We never had a choice to stand for or against slavery. Nobody can judge us based on things that never took place on our parts. At the same time we need to understand that people are treated poorly every day in this country based upon the color of their skin. Until it changes, there will be a divide...and all the ugliness that comes with it.

I was going to vote for Hillary Clinton until I saw this very important thing on YOUTUBE. Apparently Hillary is facing a Campaign Finance Fraud case in court in california. Appanretly she had a man named Peter Paul do a fund rasing event for her Senator election campaign, and lied about knowing him, or receiving $1.2 millions in campaign financing from him. She also filed documents with the FCC, and did not report the 1.2 miilon dollars she had received, WHICH IS A FELONY. When it was decovered what she has done, and that she had committed fraud, she lied about it, and said that she has never met peter Paul, even though there is VIDEO evidence, and PHONE CALL evidence, and letters as evidence which Peter Paul has of their meeting and numerous communication between them, and him. The YOUTUBE VIDEO IS CALLED - "WHAT HILLARY CLINTON DOES NOT WANT YOU TO KNOW".
Hillary Clinton currenlty has this fraud case in the Courts in California, yet the press is keeping silent about it, see the proof for yourself. Everyone must know this before they vote, Hillary with yet another fraud case pending will NOT become president! DON'T WASTE YOUR VOTE. WATCH THE YOUTUBE VIDEO, IT IS VERY IMPORTANT INFORMATION!!
He's not Love Guru so who cares what he wears. Is this all that can be asked by Democratics to there presidential candidates? YES because they can't answer the real questions.
Your magazine was listed at the bottom of an article about Obama's choice of boxers or briefs and the "Top News' headline reads: Obama's Girls Not Fans of Britney and Paris. Now, my question is- Who Cares? Do people actually care about such nonsense? I know I do not. I think the level of common sense and a normal baseline of intelligence is off the grid. I feel that people don't think for themselves concerning important issues such as the presidency-they just jump on the band wagon because the 'Stars' say this is the one. I think americans who voted for the last mistake twice should take heed.
6:18 - You are the perfect reason to show why kids need to stay in school and get their education. Your "excuse" about holding hate is irrelevant in this day and age. You cannot blame any one in this generation for incidents that happened over 100 years ago. Slavery was a tragedy and I feel for the millions who had to endure it for so long. But don't come to me on your little soapbox and claim that the reason why you have screwed up your life is due to the actions of my ancestors. Take responsibility for your actions and realize that YOU have plenty of freedoms in this day and age. I am a white woman and have never been racist in my life. I know that there is still quite a bit of it in our world, but we need to fight against it....not excuse it based on slavery from so long ago. be proud of your ancestors, but don't use them as an excuse for what you haven't done in your life. Getting a better education should be a top priority on your list after trying to read that post.
PLZ STOP SAYING THAT!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!
Go Obama! Boo you! And boo Obama! Hope that he drops out!
GO OBAMA!
i like barack obama because he actually has plans to move forward and not just undo what bush has done. and who really cares if he gets asked what kind of underwear he wears? us magazine is just stuff thats gonna be on a trivia game for the first decade of the 2000s in about 20 years
GO OBAMA!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!! there are so much racist on this blog. seriously look at their polocies not their race, religion, or sex
This message is for Ken06...
It seems clear from your message that you understand U.S. Weekly did not publish this interviw to hear personal opinions about slavery or any other hardships individual race groups experienced in the past. Like you said, it is about a presidential candidate...although your message seems to let the world know where you stand on various issues...
I would just like to remind you that while you are chastising others keep in mind that when you argue with a fool, the spectators don't know the difference...
Obama for President!!
john mccain!!!!
obabma will turn us into a dictatorship
Are you serious US Magazine? Would you have asked Lyndon Johnson or Ronald Reagan what they wear? Have some respect.
My personal opinion on this presidential candidate is not of much other than from the arrogance I have heard come out of his mouth on certain views. I dont think that he would be the ideal presidential candidate for me. But thats just MY opinion, of which I am entitled to. To be honest with you I dont know if any of these presidential hopefuls are what we need running our country.
do u kno why we hold so much hate cause for what yall did to us back in da days to our parents and grandparents how can we say oh lets just all be happy because today is a new day NO! My grandmother could of been the best doctor out ther my mother would have be able to graduate for highschool da reason why we hold so much hate is because most of us want payback. We want to let yall kno how we suffered and u cant just say sorry and keep moving...i kno im young and yall think i dont kno what im talking about but i do. And if it take a teenager like me to stop and be thankful yall could sho emphany and say yall understand but yall act like it just kno hit yall in da face.
Great answer Obama! Michelle is the only one that needs to know what you're wearing! That was Bill Clinton's problem. I'm sure Hillary and Monica weren't the only ones that knew what type of underwear you wore! shame, shame, shame!
I pray that each and everyone of you who reads this finds the feelings in them that they had when they watched over and over and over and over and over again those planes crashing into the twin towers and your heart just makes you start to cry as you realize that regardless of who is President of the United States, we as individuals have only ourselves to hold accountable for the acts that we do, and only we will stand alone and be judged for them.
GOD BLESS YOU ALL
Don't post on here for they remove ones they don't like or are too true
this is a very censor place
My soul cries out from some of these statements. I understand that as individuals we all are entitled to our own opinions, feelings and beliefs. I am a 42 year old female and choose not to disclose my race because it's not important. It's not important because you're going to judge me based on what I say, not what you see (in this arena). Yes, there are races that are judged on sight and this is an unjust truth, however this judgment doesn't only happen if you're black, jewish, white, german, or chinese. This judgment happens if you wear glasses, braces, or handicap.
The sad truth is that we all in some shape, form or fashion have placed our ill-feelings on others and we don't need a cause for it. I now in my life am a grandparent, and my husband and I talk to our grandchildren just as we've talked to our children about judge each on a knowledge of personal truths, how this person treats you, not how we feel or someone else feels about them. It's sad to think that in this world of confusion, crime, craziness and debt we still have time to say cruel things to each other. When the planes hit our treasured buildings, holding in them precious cargo (our friends and families) we huddled together, we said OH GOD PROTECT US, we became a force of one against those who was hurting us. Whites, Blacks, Jews, Chinese, Pakistanians, Ethiopians, Germans, Russians and all others died that day and their spirits are crying today when they sit high and look down low and see the state of seperation that we are still in today.
5:43 try to make since when you leave a comment...geeeezzzz
Whoa, I think the igonorance train just rolled through this chat room!
obama is not fit to run this country how bout JD Watts I would vote for him.
I am a 27 year old (Educated) Black Woman (and very proud of it). I am shocked at the comments on this page...but at the same time I believe that I understand them. There are people living in this diverse country of ours who have never taken the time to get to know and/or understand persons from other races. They haven't realized that we all bleed the same color blood when we are wounded. We all feel the same emotions (i.e. joys & sorrows). Most importantly we are all created in the same manner and we are all created EQUAL.
I am so tired of people using race and religion as the basis on which to select the next leader of our country. There are so many other issues that are much, much, more important. We are looking for a leader that will perform the will of the American people, and that will restore integrity to all branches of government. Who cares if this leader happens to be of African American descent...or if they are a woman? As long as they get in office and try to straighten out the current mess that we are in (which was created by a man...who is not of African American descent...may I add) I am all for them.
I pray that the Lord (since you all are soooooo religious...lol) will erase all of the hate in all of your hearts. I pray that you will need someone from another race at least once in your life, and lastly I pray that you will finally realize that the only differences between races many times are only cultural.
Now white folk be showing their ignorance!
I am ashamed to be white by some of the comments that have been posted. If you are an ignorant, coward, nazzi, keep them to yourself. Color, size, sex, orientation, or name brands do not have anything to do with being lead by the spirit. I actually want a black president, but being a Christian is what is important to me. White people are truly ignorant, but they mean well. In their defense, pilgramz didnt really do anything that much differant then the Jews in the old testiment, but they couldnt just leave well enough alone. Once slaves started believing in Christ, they should of been set free. I believe our nations only hope is in the "Black-people." They have a great gift of being able to let go and let God, and be lead by the spirit. Be strong, dont fear, trust in God.
First of all we want to pretend like it doesn't exist anymore when in fact you see it everyday. On the Tyra Banks show other races admitted that Blacks are the most discriminated race in the past and present. I dont say these things for sympathy from other races I'm stating this because It needs to be said.Teaching hate to anyone for whatever reason is never good. Forgiveness is a process and that is something that we all have to do on a daily basis learn to forgive one another over and over until it sets in your heart. I read comments that were made
such as were you the one enslaved, were you the one that went through this process of slavery, rape, etc. Well to address that comment it's just like when a mother and father's daughter is murdered by a serial killer and the parents hate the killer who did this and wants that person to die but instead they get years in prison and finally when the killer gets out he feels as though he has paid his debt to society and to that family for serving time in jail but the family doesn't feel that way because this doesn't bring back their daughter and erase the pain that this killer has inflicted upon the family. Although only one person in the family was killed it still affected the whole family. Even though the family thinks that they have forgiven this person at some point every time the memory of the daughter's death comes up in their mind the hatred for that person who killed their daughter and inflicted this pain on their family starts all over again and forgiveness starts all over again. So do you see the process? Its a continual thing not a one time thing and this process may go on throughout the rest of that family's life no matter what the ex-killer does to try and make up to the family for the pain he cost them. I hope this gave you an understanding of why African Americans feel the way that they do and haven't gotten pass death and pain that was inflicted upon their ancestors.
There appears to be alot of words of hate floating on this blog and no one addressing the cause for the pain. For everyone when an injustice is performed on a person it affects everything around them. If you hurt me, you hurt my child, my spouse, my family because pain radiates and materializes in every aspect of a person's life. By killing one person in the Holocaust an entire generation that could have been was stopped in its track all due to one person's immaturity. By killing one African (African American once brought to this country) an entire legacy was halted. Who knows, one of that persons successors could have discovered the cure to cancer or aids. By killing one Japanese American an entire line of people that could have been was stopped dead in its tracks. Who knows, one of their children or grandchildren or great grandchildren could have discovered a more efficient alternate means of fuel. The fact remains if you kill someone who hasn't had a chance to show you their contribution to society you hinder us as a whole. Remember we do not live in the world alone. As soon as we all realize that then it will be a much better place.
