3:21, I agree with you that the senator is a d*** for cheating on his wife and, given that they did end up getting divorced, the wife probably did know about it. However, Barbara Walters was an equal party in that affair and that makes her just as responsible period. I can't understand why anyone would want to publicize that they helped to break up a marriage (of course, they must have had problems before Barbara Walters came into the picture, but she was probably the final nail in the coffin). It's almost like she's proud of it. And she knows that the public knows she saw Star Jones' statement. It's politics - she had to respond that way so that she could appear to be "taking the high road", thus making Star Jones look villainous.

Looking back on all things said on both sides, all shows, and in all newspaper and magazine articles. Everyone lies to cover thier own ass. Celebs tout thier own horns when it suits them and money always makes it easier to put the knife in the back or sometimes the eye of one you once called a friend.

If the people struggling to lose weight were smart, they would regularly be seeing a doctor and a doctor to could explain ALLLLLL the ways to lose weight, why does it have to be put on Star? Very interesting cat fight between Barbara Walters & Star Jones, etc. It's a shame that she had a miscarriage many years ago, but it's kinda wierd that she says these things about Star, but then says she has good memories of her! Hm, sounds really fishy, etc.? It's a shame to hear the heartache Barbara went through over the years, my heart goes out to her, etc.

4:19 ME- It was her rep who made that statement- not Barbara. The rep said "I will not dignify" not Barbara will not dignify. Also, her statements about Starr were polite as they should be. She chose to be tactful rather than stoop to Starrs level and sling insults. But I bet you'd prefer if she did throw a little mud in Starrs direction just to see a verbal fight.

Oh. She has "VERY GOOD MEMORIES OF STAR," does she? Oh.

Do those "good memories" include when she told PEOPLE magazine she felt "betrayed" by Star's claim that she was "fired" from the show? And, funny -- it seems like only yesterday when Walters' rep said, "I will not dignify this with a comment."

What a two-bit liar she is. I feel insulted that she actually seems to believe we are all stupid enough to not see through her pitiful sham. If she can't remember what she said in only the past 24-hours I'd be concerned that she's already in the throws of Alzheimer's.

In journalism, PR etc.. its all about how a statement is worded. She said she didn't "see" what Starr had said, she didn't say she didn't "hear" about what she said. There is a big difference. Any celebrity when confronted with questions regarding a controversy chooses their words very carefully. So, in response to a question posed earlier- yes I do believe she didn't "see" what Starr had said.

Tom Cruise appeared on The View yesterday via video to honour Babs, describing her as a "leading force for women not only in the newsroom but the world at large."

Just because you won't wear a bunny suit doesn't make it wrong or bimboish for someone else to wear one. She is HIGHLY respected and admired by millions. She is an icon in her industry. OK, you have your opinion. You think wearing a playboy bunny outfit to work is appropriate. I don't. That is my opinion.
