
Ben Stiller
Ben Stiller was raised in New York by renowned comedians Jerry Stiller and Anne Meara. He acted as a child and briefly attended the University of California, where he studied film. Stiller returned to New York to take acting classes and search for work. Stiller met actress Christine Taylor while filming a pilot for Fox; they married in 2000 and have two children. The pair made a guest appearance on Arrested Development. He previously dated actress Jeanne Tripplehorn. Stiller acted in the Tony award-winning play House of Blue Leaves until Saturday Night Live saw one of his satirical side projects and offered him the chance to be a writer. Stiller appeared on SNL in 1989 though left when MTV offered him his own show. The MTV project led Fox to create The Ben Stiller Show in 1992, which costarred Andy Dick and Janeane Garofalo. The show earned Stiller an Emmy even though it was canceled after twelve episodes. Stiller directed and acted in Reality Bites, The Cable Guy, and Zoolander. Stiller’s breakthrough performance was in There’s Something About Mary opposite Cameron Diaz
