Here's the thing the way I see it. They are supposedly trying to keep their private life just that...private. They absolutely do not have to make a public announcement but hiding your engagement / wedding ring(s) or when asked replying coyly? That just fuels the fire. Why not respond with a simple, "yes" and leave it at that? Anything else is just asking for publicity and firestorm. So what is it that you really want?

Seriously, when you really love someone it is okay to keep the ceremony quiet. But to keep a happy thing such as marriage secret is just down right questionable. I do not think that there is anything wrong with your fans wanting to share in your happiness. You don't have to flaunt it, however the least you can do is acknowledge it.
