Brad Pitt is only scared of three things. “The only thing that frightens me today is something happening to my kids, or something happening to Angie, or something happening to Angie and I,” the actor says in the October issue of Details magazine.
On newsstands now, the mag finds Pitt, 43, weighing in on everything from Hurricane Katrina, turning 40, Paris Hilton, and how Angelina Jolie inspired him to get into charity.
But what doesn't the actor “give a sh-t about”? See interview excerpts below to find out...
On turning 40:
“I liked it, man. Maybe I had a crisis earlier or something. Maybe I had it in my thirties. You know, it’s…” [PAUSE] “One thing sucks, your face kind of goes. Your body’s not quite working the same. But you earned it. You earned that, things falling apart.
On claims of his humanitarian work as self-consciously pious efforts: “Oh, I don’t give a shit about that. People have been saying crap about me for 15 years.”
On Paris Hilton’s quest for fame:
“This Paris Hilton quest for fame…she’s blissfully obvious. Oh my god, we’ve been away for…Where were we? We hadn’t seen television for…like a month. I’m probably exaggerating. And we just got back to the United States. And we turned on CNN. And on comes Paris Hilton, going to jail. And so we just turned it off again.”
On his kids:
“Well, I had one kid, then two kids, then three kids. Two-and-a-half years or so. Listen, I’ve always embraced extremes, so it doesn’t feel odd to me. There’s a couple weeks of finding your balance, and then it’s in stone.”
On having an international family:
“You just look at them and go, my daughter’s from Ethiopia, two sons from Asia, a daughter who’s born in Namibia-and they are brother and sister, They have the same dynamics I had growing up, and I…It pleases me so much. I get so warm. I don’t even see in that, anymore, what their lives could have been. I have to intellectually think about that. They are a bond, they are a family. And I want to see those bonds and that family grow. And that right there, sitting in our kitchen, is how I want to see the world. It’s how I want the world to be.”
On having more kids:
“We’re not done.”
On security and paparazzi:
“It’s not going to keep our kids caged in. The only thing that frightens me today is something happening to my kids, or something happening to Angie, or something happening to Angie and I. That happens when they follow you, right. It is the defining annoyance of my life. I just think how strange it is for my kids. Mad, Z, Pax-they really believe that every time you go outside there is a herd of people with cameras snapping flashes in your face [who] are going to kind of block your way when you’re trying to get somewhere. That is their vision of the world outside. Very strange, isn’t it? It’s an everyday thing for them. They don’t really see it as bad or good. Z will point and go, ‘Cameras!’ Pax will point and say ‘People.’ Maddox is keen to where his parents are coming from. I don’t want them to be tensing up, and I don’t want them to see or feel any kind of threat. But man, when [photographers] cross the line, you know-if it happened to one of your kids, it’s hard not to want to take them down.”

Let them be. Everyone seems to be involved in other peoples business. Worry about your own life. I know it's entertainment but, its kind of sick how people get too involved with other people lives. Everyone is so hateful and so quick to think they won't make it. Maybe the papers and magazines aren't always accurate? Maybe Brad and Angie actually really love their kids and are doing what they can to make this world better for their kids and themselves? Maybe the two actually really love each other, despite the gossip, and will love each other until their dying day? Maybe they are both human, and flawed, but try their best to be their best? Maybe they even bring out each other's best.
I applaude them both for everything they have done. So many celebs talk about the mess the world is in and don't do anything because they're selfish. I can't believe these two don't actually care about each other and their kids, and I hardly believe that the world is going to cave in and they will be miserable or Angie will break his heart. I like to think they are going above and beyond, and that maybe Brad had been searching for an all-consuming, passionate love, and not the love of a best friend. He found that in Angie.
People fall in and out of love, they get divorced and they get married. It happens everyday. But the amount of hatred shown here is shocking, and terrible, and unjust. And it's such a waste of energy, energy you could be using to do something good and helping make this world a better place, even if you think Brad and Angie are doing the opposite. To correct their wrong, if you think so. Because we all know we could do with a little more good in this world.

Here we go again reality vs. dreamland! From the onset this relationship was about hot, fresh sex...period. Being married 20 years, things get old and stale. She's (Aniston) is a homebody, probably doesn't need much to make her happy, and a lot of wives get into this zone "Just Loving My Man" We sometimes think if we are content than so is he, bubble burst and we are shocked into reality. For a lot of woman we get "too relaxed". We let ourselves go, get fat, stop doing he things that got us the hunk in the first place. But with all that said , a man is and will always be a visual creature, but the thing that will separate his lust and actions towards another "Ho" and that is what Angie is (reality check), and will always be his CHARACTER= What you do when no one is watching but GOD!I love Brad's work, can admire Angie's beauty but, that's where it ends. They do not see the train wreck ahead, Brad has his 3rd leg in a vice grip (typical of men), and Angie is a bonified nutt case who for the moment gets to twist it (daily), but one day when he looks at how aged he's become, and the snap trap starts to look like the last one looked and felt after a while, he might realize that it's HOME that is the place you build, good, bad, and ugly.. oh and for better and for worse (remember those words)

Does any one remember the word tax write off? Everytime they commit to a charity from profit it is a writeoff. They look good to the media and they write it off no loss. Angie is just a really expensive lunatic hooker and eveyone falls for her game. Brad is a whiney p*ssy. He can't handle a strong minded, albut crazy woman, and it is sucking the life out of him. They are pitiful excuses for parents and celebs should not adopt without background checks cause she is wacked. Are thoses children gonna find it ok to have lovers all over the world, lets take some knives to bed, take men from their wives and not honor marriage, are they going to be stable without a steady homelife, being out in the public all the time is going to give them security? She walks around carrying them like luggage and i wonder why she doesn't just pack one on her back while she is at it. Parents don't flaunt their children like objects and promote them to make oneself look like a good humanitarian person. Jen got lucky she got away from all this garbage and will get on with her life. Consider those miserable people an example of away not to live ones life. They are poor celebrity examples of humanity. I wonder what it is like to adopt in ones own country, to help ones own people. So many homeless children..soo hungry and alone.

Maybe if they led a stable, normal, quiet life and weren't dragged around from country to country they would know something else. This makes me believe even more that Brad and Angie love this sh1t and use the kids for press. Lots of famous and beautiful people live quiet lives away from all the nonsense and their kids don't live in a circus. These two are NOT the most powerful couple in Hollywood, and they could disappear if they wanted to. Steven Spielberg, Tom Hanks, Robert DeNiro...they are more successful than these two put together and they have managed to give their children stability and privacy. I wonder why Brad and Angelina can't do the same?

Also, you mistakenly say that when the casting for Mr and Mrs Smith came about, the producer wanted Nicole Kidman and Brad insisted on Angelina. If you research properly, Nicole Kidman had to drop out of the film due to personal reasons and then the PRODUCER cast Angelina.....the difference between fact and your fantasy world is drastic.

I am gorgeous. I am widely considered to be beautiful by others. Although beauty is in the eye of the beholder, I certainly consider myself to be better-looking than your idol and not with that manly-shaped body either. Stop fantasizing away criticisms of your idol.
My "disadvantage" is that I had to work extremely hard over a long period of time to get to where I am today (I have six figures in investments). With his and AJ's movies tanking - he truely believes that coming out now with his "divorce" thoughts will make him look better. They make him look like an insensitive jerk!
