Former President Bill Clinton joined Brad Pitt in New Orleans on Sunday to begin work on the actor's Make It Right project, which aims to build 150 new affordable homes for Hurricane Katrina victims.
Wearing his signature newsboy cap, Pitt and Clinton toured the Lower 9th Ward where the new homes will be built as hundreds of volunteers helped clean and prepare the land, the Associated Press reports.
"We hope to see a huge change here in the next six months," Pitt told locals as he signed autographs and posed for photos.
Pitt's Make It Right project in the Lower 9th Ward was the site for the Clinton Global Initiative University, a three-day program that kicked off Friday.
Through a series of workshops and lectures, CGIU asks college students and universities to develop solutions to global problems.

I think this is wonderful that Brad Pitt is using his celebrity for something good. I think its great that he and President Clinton haven't forgotten New Orleans like so many others have. New Orleans is still a disaster area. Tourist/Visitors don't see the abandoned homes and to this day they can still find the worse immaginable things in these homes.

The whole point of my comment is how he is a phony..if him and jolie broke up i highly doubt he would be doing what he is doing now. He is just doing it to please her not for him, otherwise he would've been doing this when he started becoming famous decades ago. The government did a lot to help the people of NO - including giving them a ton of money to fix the levees long BEFORE Katrina even hit. NO's (black) officials decided to use the money for other things. The government (and social groups) have given more money and support to NO, than many, if not all, other cities affected by Katrina, yet they still don't have to together, when other cities do? Someone said something about not all people in NO being corrupt - and that's true. But many people in NO are corrupt, greedy and have taken total advantage of the situation.
If Brad Pitt wants to do something to help, that's wonderful.

I agree. I think It's cool someone's helping New Orleans. I think It's so inspiring. My cousin died in the hurricane and I applaud him for helping the people there. When people say the people there are corrupted or deserve the disaster it makes me feel so sad. It's stereotyping. My cosin and many others who lived there were great people. Keep it up Brad!
