A funeral service for actor Brad Renfro will be held at 8 p.m. Monday in his native Knoxville, Tennessee.
A graveside service and interment are scheduled for Tuesday at noon.
Renfro, who had a past of drug addiction, died Tuesday at age 25. (Results from Thursday's autopsy are expected in about six weeks.)
His obituary in the local newspaper described him as being "of the Baptist faith." A son, Y Renfro, was listed among his survivors.
In lieu of flowers, his family is requesting that memorial contributions be made to a preferred charity.
"He was a hometown boy who did real good, and it breaks my heart he is gone." Johnny Knoxville — who filmed the 2002 flick Deuces Wild with Renfro — told The Insider. "He was so young and so sweet."

no se que pase ultimamente se han ido los actores que mas aperciaba, no se por que estas personas que alomejor no conosi bien.... pero hay que hacer lo posible para que actores como el ya no mueran creanme.. es lamentable la perdida..... una de las peliculas que mas me gusto fue the cure por que a mi me paso algo parecido.... la pelicula que me llego al corazón....

Brad Renfro was one of my favorite actors and one of my favorite movies was "The Cure". A beautifully tender story of a sincere friendship between two young boys; one dying of AIDS...the other attempting to help him find a cure. Brad's performance was remarkable and anyone who hasn't seen this movie should not miss it.
History, as is usually the case, will treat Brad Renfro with the respect he deserves. His body of work as an actor is a testament to his craft. I mourn his loss and share in the grief his family and friends are experiencing. You're all in my prayers.

I can't believe Brad passed away.I'm really shocked that "HOLLYWOOD" is taking his passing so lightly. Maybe they should watch his movies,they might realize how talented he was. If they knew him they'd understand. I'll never be the same. I Love and miss YOU. AMOR ETERNO.

Very sad when somone so young dies. The Industry people are the ones that we here about, but how many of us parents with kids in their 20's and 30's know and hear about their friends who have died at a young age?! There are many reasons for this happening. I have not a clue what should and could be done. Only this: As parents, we need to listen to our kids, no matter what age, and to always keep the lines of comunication open. We need to listen and hear them and Only give advice when asked for it. It is not easy as a parent, but never give up on your child, no matter the age. Let them know that you love them and are proud of them. The rest of the stuff, well, just listen.

He was very kind to others and was an extremely talented actor - And that is all that should matter!!! A young life was lost, and no matter how, it is incredibly sad!!!
Also sad, is that the media doesn't seem to care about Brad's passing.

This is pretty sad - both the death of such a talented young actor and the fact that some people actually believe and speculate that his child's name is 'Y'!! If it is 'Y' - so what?! And if it isn't, then I definitely give the family credit for not releasing the name publicly. There is enough evidence out there (Miss Britney, anyone?) that the public eye can hurt a person and their families. It's a sad situation - leave the kid out of it. God Bless Brad and his family, friends, and fans who loved his work!

i have been a fan of Brad Renfro's for so long now. i was in shock to learn of his death and even more so to learn that he had a child. i am so saddened by the fact that he has died.. it seems so many of the talented ones pass too soon. he was incredibly underrated and had so much talent.
his memory will live on through his fans.

I knew Brad a while back and Y is short for his son's real name (which I won't say publicly, they must have wanted to protect his privacy) but it is a Japanese name. Anyway, he is about 4 years old now I think.
Rest in Peace Brad! :( I know you're havin a blast up there though.

I have an adorable 4 year old son, just so sweet and funny, and smart. My father lives in LA and said you should get him into acting and I kid you not said "Pimp him out." Some people will do anything for fame and $$. I agree, there should be some laws protecting these kids! And not in a million years would I ever consider letting my children act.

Brad will be missed as to many a friend and a great actor. Apt Pupil and Bully were amazing. He owned his performance in each movie he did. The Cure was so sad but such a real movie. Brad got caught up in the demons of drugs and alcohol which many do. To bad there is not a cure for it all. I would love one.

It's a shame Bran Renfro's wife had to end so suddenly & he was so young! God bless him! At least he's no longer suffering & is in a better place! I had no idea also that he had a son! I feel bad for the family & especially the kid! Who'll raise him? Probably the family or a family friend, etc.?
