What we've got here is a case of the pot calling the kettle Middle Eastern.
Remember how at Paris Hilton's birthday party, Brandon Davis mocked Paula Abdul for her Middle Eastern ancestry, causing her to leave early?
A witness at the party told the New York Daily News at the time: "He kept on saying her last name over and over again, and then would insert his made-up version of an Arabic language."
Well, it turns out that Davis' last name isn't actually Davis, it's Zarif.
"His father is Nebil Zarif, known as 'Bilo,'" a source tells the Daily News' Gatecrasher. "He's a Turkish-American wine importer."
Brandon uses his mother Nancy's maiden name, which is associated with his late grandfather, oil billionaire Marvin Davis. But Marvin never approved of Brandon's parents' marriage, says the pal.
"He basically gave Bilo money to go away," according to the friend.
This isn't the first time the hard-partying himbo has ended up with fried egg on his face. Last year, Davis made fun of Lindsay Lohan's financial assets saying, "She's worth about 7 million, which means she's really poor."
It was later revealed that he'd bounced a $10,000 check to Girls Gone Wild creator Joe Francis, which was refused for "insufficient funds."
(On a separate note, the dad being a wine importer suddenly explains a lot, no?)
