Angelina Jolie, 31, has no time for double-stick tape and a pair of Spanx on Sunday night.
The Goodwill Ambassador blew off the Oscars to travel to Africa where she immediately got down and dirty in the mud of a refugee campsite.
As the couple prepare to adopt a Vietnamese child (a source tells Us they're already on the hunt for new help to take care of the newborn), Jolie, 31, jetted off to the African nation of Chad on February 25 to visit with Sudanese refugees.
"She wants to galvanize action to end the horrors these people are living through," International Crisis Group's John Prendergast (who's worked with the actress before) tells Us.
Meanwhile, Pitt, 43, played Mr. Mom to the couple's three children (Maddox, 5, Zahara, 2, and Shiloh, 9 months) back at their New Orleans mansion over the weekend -- but had to leave them with the nannies for a brief trip to L.A. on February 25.
Across town at the Oscars, the actor's The Curious Case of Benjamin Button costar Cate Blanchett told Us she doesn't consider playdates between her and Pitt's children a perk of the job: "That's just called life."

It's so funny that people can criticize Brad and Angelina, for everyting they do (including adopting) but are inactive citizens themselves. Complain about the homeless and orphaned children here, but that's it. How about if it bothers you enough go and help! These two have done more for the citizens of the WORLD than those who complain.
It's also downright ignorant to degrade a child's appearance. Zahara is a beautiful child, and it's questionable as to the motives behind comparing her to a primate.
These two are people, they have lives, and what happened between brad and jen is ultimately between them. We don't see or aren't told everything.

She only had her own kid to trap Brad. She even said in an interview she thought it was wrong for people to have their own when there are children all over the world in orphanages. That kid was her insurance policy that Brad would not go back to Jen.
Who is she kidding that she take care of these kids. She always just happens to see a paparazzi who snaps their staged family pics even if they are in a field in Africa.She has nannies, nurses and security guards for EACH child! Yeah she is a normal Mom.
She likes to collect things. SHe likes to collect knives and now it is orphans.

Well is it obvious that all they want is attention. No one in their right mind would "aquire" 3 children in 10 months time. What about time for bonding? Not an option with these two.
I think Brad just got sucked in(no pun intended) and she will just do as she wants.
How does she help the orphanages by sitting and listening to them tell stories and having her picture taken?
There are homeless people THOUSANDS of them all over every state here. Children here who are hungry, sick, no parents,etc. The only reason she doesn't adopt here is because she would never pass the psychological testing.
No american agency would approve her let alone aprove her to get more kids this closely.
She is a sick girl.

She flew off to the refugees to avoid going to the awards. She got dissed at the last one so this one she made herself the hero. How does it help these people by her flying in on her private jet, getting a few pictures taken while she looks concerned and they flying off in her private jet? DO you ever hear that she "did" anything while she was there?
She is a frad. Makes me ill.

Those are some pretty strong statements and closed minded. They have raised awareness for victims in New Orleans. Angelina is currently working for charities for disadvantaged youths in NEW ORLEANS. Pitt is working on construction on 20 homes he has commissioned with Global Green USA in NEW ORLEANS for Victims of Hurricane Katrina. I may be blonde but isn't New Orleans in the U.S.? And I guarantee the two of them will be getting in there doing much of the work themselves/hands-on, not just dishin out the money. I find that admirable. And when they are on the red carpet, they are far from skanky, they are impressive, classic, and a beautiful team. Fortunately they have other priorities.

Missed them? Not really, and I like them ok. The best part about the Oscars is what everyone is wearing, so it would have been nice to see that, but it's not like they have always made a point to go every year like some celebs.
4:33, he's in the process of adopting them. The paperwork was filed before Shiloh was born, it takes longer than a name change. When you say she can't love her own child, that does sound like PPD.

I read somewhere that Angelina feels strongly towards the adopted kids because they were born into rough times(or something like that).That seems really great.I think she really loves all her kids though. Brad really seems to. They make beautiful babies that's for sure.
